Two brochures, two NSF amounts
Opened 22 October 2026. The newer file is the March 2026 personal brochure. Returned NSF item is $10.00 on chequing, savings, and US dollar chequing. An unauthorized overdraft fee is $5.00 per item on those same three columns. The minimum overdraft interest charge is $4.00. An Interac e-Transfer is $1.50 on chequing and savings, and not available on the US dollar chequing column. A domestic Interac ATM withdrawal is $2.00. A stop payment online is $13.00. A stop payment in a branch is $15.00.
The August 2025 brochure is still on the site and prints a returned NSF item of $48.00 on the same three columns. If your statement shows $48, it may be the older schedule or a different product. If it shows $10, it matches the March 2026 file. Do not treat the file name as the fee on your account until the line matches.
East Coast Credit Union is in Atlantic Canada. This page uses its own brochures, not a federal bank cap. A $5 unauthorized overdraft and a $10 returned item are different lines. Asking them to remove a fee already charged is a request. They can say no.
