    Monthly account fee

    The monthly charge for the bank account itself.

    Returned payment and overdraft

    A fee when a payment does not go through, or when the bank covers it and then charges you.

    Yearly card fee

    The yearly charge for having the card. You can ask the bank to remove it. They can say no.

    Foreign transaction fee

    A fee the card adds on a purchase in another currency.

    Interest

    A charge on a balance you have not paid off.

    Insurance sold by your bank

    Optional insurance the bank adds, such as balance protection. If the charge stays the same, the yearly figure is that charge times 12.

    ATM fee

    A fee for using a cash machine.

    Late fee

    A penalty when a payment arrives after the due date. You can ask the bank to remove one. They can say no.

Yes. Cancel anytime. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.
How do I cancel?
Cancel plan opens the Paddle page where you end Pro. Manage billing opens that page for your card and receipts. If you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you already paid for.
Where does checkout happen?
If you are not signed in, Get Pro opens a Paddle window on this page. Pay with the email you will use for Google. Sign in with Google using the same email you paid with to unlock Pro. If you are already signed in, Get Pro opens that Paddle window with the email you signed in with. Paddle handles Expenvo payments and sales tax. Paddle emails the receipt. The price shown is for your country. Sales tax, like GST or HST, is added at checkout where it applies.
Does the PDF get uploaded?
No. The PDF stays on your device.

Questions

Can I upload a statement without an account?
Yes. One statement a day can be read with no account. That view lists every bank fee and every subscription, the categories, and the total. The PDF stays on your device. The parsed charges are kept for 24 hours behind a random id, then deleted. They are also deleted when you save them on an account. Files over 15 MB are refused. A free account keeps one statement a month and the 3 largest fees and the 3 largest subscriptions.
Does the PDF leave my computer?
No. We read it on your device. The file is not stored. One statement a day can be read with no account. Sign in if you want the charges saved to your account. If you are signed in and Save to my account is off, the charges stay in this browser tab until you close it.
Where are saved charges stored?
In Canada, if you choose to save them. The PDF is read in your browser and is not stored.
Will a US statement show Canadian dollars?
No. A US statement stays in USD. A Canadian statement stays in C$.
What if a charge is in the wrong category?
Change the category. Expenvo uses that choice for the same name on the next statement.
Is this financial advice?
No. The savings number is bank fees only, estimated from the statement you opened. We list subscriptions so you can see them. We do not tell you to cancel them, and we do not count them as savings.
