Bank statement analyzer: understand every line without linking your bank
Your statement already lists every fee and subscription. Reading it is the hard part. Merchant codes are cryptic, fee names are vague, and a recurring charge can sit between two grocery lines. Expenvo reads the PDF and explains each line.

How it works
1) Download the statement PDF from your bank or card site. The steps for named banks are on how to download your bank statement.
2) Upload that PDF in the browser. There is no bank login and no account linking. The PDF stays on your device.
3) See bank fees, subscriptions, and unfamiliar charges explained. Pro adds tips on which fees to ask the bank to remove. A free account does not include those call tips.
What it finds
Bank fees include a monthly account fee, an overdraft or NSF fee, a foreign transaction fee, and a card annual fee. Those lines come from the bank or the card company, not from a store.
Subscriptions include streaming, software, apps, and memberships. The same merchant name, a similar amount, and a gap of about a month are the usual pattern. A yearly plan shows up once.
Unfamiliar codes are the short names the statement prints instead of the brand. Common ones are SQ *, TST*, PAYPAL *, and AMZN Mktp. The pages for those lines are SQ *, TST*, PayPal*, and AMZN Mktp. More prefixes are on statement codes.
Why there is no bank linking
Some people would rather not give an aggregator ongoing access to their bank. Expenvo uses only the statement you upload. You choose the file, the period, and the account. Nothing stays connected after you close the page.
A yearly estimate you type yourself, before you upload, is on the bank fee calculator. The calculator does not read the PDF. The analyzer does.
Free and Pro
The first statement can be read with no account. That view lists every bank fee and every subscription on the file. A free account after you sign in keeps the 3 largest fees and the 3 largest subscriptions, and one statement a month. Each statement you read uses that one free upload, even when you do not save it.
Pro is $5.99 USD a month or $47 USD a year. In Canada, Pro is C$7.99 CAD a month or C$64 CAD a year. Pricing shows the price for your country. Sales tax may be added at checkout.

When another tool fits
Expenvo does not update when a new charge posts. It reads the statement you upload. For alerts as charges post, the sister app Expense Canary is on iOS and Android.

Questions
- Is the bank statement analyzer free?
- Yes. Free is one statement a month. The first statement, with no account, lists every bank fee and every subscription on that file. A free account keeps the 3 largest fees and the 3 largest subscriptions.
- Which banks work?
- Any bank or card that gives you a PDF statement. Named US banks are on the US bank fee guides, and named Canadian banks are on the Canada bank fee guides. A statement from a bank that is not in those lists can still be read. Check the charges after you upload.
- Can it read a CSV?
- No. Expenvo is built for PDF statements. Pro can download a spreadsheet of the charges it already read from the PDF. That download is not a way to upload a CSV.
- Do I need an account to try it?
- No. No account is needed for your first statement. That view lists every bank fee and every subscription on the file, and the PDF stays on your device. Sign in if you want to save the results. A free account keeps the 3 largest fees and the 3 largest subscriptions.
