What AMZN Mktp means on your statement
AMZN Mktp US is one of the names Amazon lists for an Amazon.com purchase. It is not the only Amazon name you will see, and it is not the same line as Amazon Prime.

Why the line looks like that
Amazon's US help page lists common statement names in a table. Under charges related to an Amazon.com purchase, the names include Amazon.com, AMZN.COM/BILL, AMAZON MKTPLACE PMTS, and AMZN Mktp US followed by a code. The page does not say that AMZN Mktp is only a third party shop.
Prime is a different row. Amazon lists AMZ*Prime Shipping Club, amzn.com/bill, and AMAZON PRIME followed by a code. Digital purchases, such as MP3s, Kindle books, apps, video, software, or a Kindle Special Offers opt out fee, can show as Amazon Digital Svcs, amzn.com/bill, or Video on Demand. Amazon Pay is another row, including Amazon.com*PMT SVC and amzn.com/pmts.
How to match it to an order
Amazon says to open Your Transactions and match the amount and the date to an order number. An order can be split into more than one shipment, and Amazon charges the payment method when each part ships, so one order can be several lines.
A bank authorization is not a charge. Amazon contacts the bank to confirm the payment method. If you canceled before the order shipped, an authorization can still show and is still not a charge. A family member, another card on the same account, a back order, a preorder, or a gift can also explain a line you do not remember.
A retrocharge is Amazon collecting payment after a refund when the item was not returned as required. Amazon says to return the item within 30 days of the return label. A lost item that arrives after a refund should be returned within 7 days. If you keep an item after an advance refund, Amazon charges the original payment method for the price and the taxes.
Prime, and how Canada differs
On Amazon.com, Prime is charged monthly or annually depending on the plan. That US page does not print a dollar price. End Prime from Manage Your Prime Membership. A digital service such as a Prime Video channel or Kindle Unlimited is charged monthly. Those are managed from Your Digital Orders.
Amazon.ca's page about a charge you do not recognize does not print the US descriptor table. It says an unknown charge can be a trial that ended, a Prime renewal, or a Prime Video channel. Review or cancel those at Your Memberships and Subscriptions. The same page repeats the authorization, retrocharge, split shipment, and family explanations.
Amazon.ca's Prime fee page lists current pricing of $9.99 per month and $99 per year. Prime Student is $4.99 per month and $49 per year. An invitation only Prime Shipping plan is $9.99 per month. Taxes may apply. The membership is charged automatically when a trial or period ends. Cancel at Manage Prime Membership. If the membership is through another company, Amazon says to contact that company. The phone number on that page is 1-877-586-3230.
Upload the statement to Expenvo and it lists every subscription it finds, including a repeating Prime line, with the date and the amount. Expenvo does not cancel Prime for you.
