A payment the account cannot cover

When the bank sends back a cheque, a bill payment, or an automatic payment because the account did not have enough money, the fee is C$10 on a Canadian dollar account. A U.S. dollar account is $5 US. The rules that cap this kind of fee at many Canadian banks are on NSF fees on a Canadian bank account.

If the bank pays the item instead, the fee guide prints C$5 plus interest of 21% a year on the amount it covered. Optional coverage that lets payments through up to an approved limit is C$4 in any month you use it, plus interest. A stop on a cheque or an automatic payment, when you give complete details, is C$20.

An ATM the bank does not own is C$2 in Canada, C$3 in the US or Mexico, and C$5 outside the US and Mexico. Sending an Interac e-Transfer is C$1.50. Receiving one is free. ValuePlus includes 2 free sends a month. Infinity and the Elders Plan include 5.

The line on your own statement is the one that counts. Upload it on the upload page. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not call the institution.
