Kawartha Credit Union's additional services brochure prints $45.00 for an NSF item, whether it is cleared or rejected. Coverdraft is $5.00 per item. An unauthorized overdraft is $5.00 a month. What the June 2025 brochure prints
Opened 22 October 2026. The dollars are on Kawartha's additional services and fees brochure, the June 2025 file. Non-sufficient funds, cleared or rejected, is $45.00. Coverdraft, a transfer from a draw source, is $5.00 per item. An unauthorized overdraft is $5.00 per month. A stop payment is $15.00. A personal Interac e-Transfer send is $1.00. A business send is $1.20. Receiving an Interac e-Transfer is free. Reclaiming an expired transfer after 30 days is $5.00.
A cheque chargeback is $10.00. An official cheque is $7.50. An account closed within 90 days of opening is $25.00. A transfer of an RRSP, RRIF, or TFSA to another institution is $100.00. After 24 months, a dormant account has a $25.00 charge and then a $5.00 monthly maintenance fee. A 12-month inactive notice is free.
The $5 Coverdraft line is smaller than the $45 NSF line. It still depends on Kawartha moving the money. Kawartha is an Ontario credit union, so this page uses its brochure rather than a federal bank cap. Asking them to remove a fee already charged is a request. They can say no.
