Sunshine Coast account fees
Sunshine Coast Financial's April 2026 service fee brochure prints a $10.00 non-sufficient funds fee. It is not charged when the account is overdrawn by less than $10, and not more than once in two business days. The wider list is Canada NSF fees by bank. What the April 2026 brochure prints
Opened 22 October 2026. The dollars are on Sunshine Coast Financial's service fee brochure, updated April 2026. The non-sufficient funds fee is $10.00. The footnote says the account is not charged an NSF fee if it is overdrawn by less than $10, and that Sunshine Coast Financial may still process or decline the payment. NSF fees are not charged on an account more than once within a two business day period. For a US dollar account, the footnote says the NSF charge is presented in US dollars as the equivalent of $10 Canadian, at Sunshine Coast Financial's exchange rate. An overdraft charge is $5.00 per item. A system transfer to cover an overdraft is $4.00. A telephone request for a transfer is $4.00. The brochure prints 604-740-2662 and 1-800-320-4588.
Keeping the shortfall under $10 avoids the NSF fee on this footnote. The credit union can still decline the payment. A system transfer at $4.00 is less than the $10.00 NSF line when that transfer is available. A second NSF fee inside two business days is not charged, on the same footnote. Asking them to remove a fee already charged is a request. They can say no. This credit union is not under the federal bank cap just because the number is also $10.
