Canvas NSF and monthly fees
Canvas Credit Union's personal fee schedule, effective 1 August 2026, prints $30.00 for an insufficient funds fee and $30.00 for Safety Net. The $10.00 no-charge rule is not on that schedule. It is only on the older notice file dated 11-05-19, which prints no charge when the account is overdrawn by $10.00 or less, then $30.00 each time Canvas pays a transaction that overdraws by more than $10.00, with no limit on the total. The wider list is overdraft fees at US credit unions. Every overdraft guide is on overdraft fee guides. A yearly total from numbers you type is on the bank fee calculator. It does not look up this institution.

What the August 2026 schedule prints
Opened 22 October 2026. The dollars are on Canvas's personal fee schedule, effective 1 August 2026. An insufficient funds fee is $30.00 per transaction, attempt, or presentment. A footnote says that beginning 3 September 2024, NSF fees are automatically refunded for accounts enrolled in the Canvas Next Program. Safety Net is $30.00 per transaction. That row says to see the notice of important information about overdraft services and fees. A stop payment, including a check, ACH, bill pay, or a request on canvas.org, is $27.00. Free Checking is free. Interest Checking is $10.00 when the balance is under $500.00. Level Up Checking is free. High Yield Checking and Cashback Checking are $5.00, waived with eStatements. A money market account is $10.00 when the balance is under $1,000.00. Money Market Plus is $10.00 when the balance is under $10,000.00. A non-Canvas ATM withdrawal is $2.00. An international transaction fee is 1% of a debit card transaction at a foreign location, or payable to a foreign merchant even if it was started in the United States. An outgoing domestic wire is $20.00. An outgoing international wire is $45.00. A deposited item return is $9.00, or $25.00 when it is to or from the same member. Closing an account within 6 months of opening is $25.00.
The overdraft notice the schedule points to is the file named with 11-05-19, and it prints a 2019 copyright line. It is not labeled as a 2026 reprint. On that older notice only, there is no service charge when the account is overdrawn by $10.00 or less, then $30.00 each time Canvas pays a transaction that overdraws the account by more than $10.00, with no limit on the total. Checks and automatic bill payments are the standard practice. ATM and everyday debit card transactions need a separate ask. Paying an overdraft is discretionary. The 1 August 2026 schedule does not reprint the $10.00 rule. Its Safety Net row is $30.00 per transaction and says to see the notice. Do not read the $10.00 line as a 2026 schedule row.
A fee already charged is a request. Canvas can say no. The US list is US bank fee guides.
The line on your own statement is the one that counts. Upload it on the upload page. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not call the institution.
