Digital Federal Credit Union's January 2026 fee schedule prints $15.00 when it pays an item and $0.00 when it returns the item. The footer says DCU is a division of First Technology Federal Credit Union. First Tech's own October 2026 schedule prints no overdraft fee, on First Tech overdraft fee. Use the schedule for the name on your statement.

What the January 2026 schedule prints
Opened 22 October 2026. The dollars are on DCU's schedule of fees and service charges, dated January 2026. Paid nonsufficient funds, called Overdraft Item Paid, is $15.00. Returned nonsufficient funds is $0.00. Footnote 1 says an item of $10 or less, or an item that draws the balance negative by $10 or less, is not charged the paid fee. The same footnote caps the paid fees at two per day per account, which is $30.00. DCU FREE Checking prints no monthly fee. A domestic outgoing wire is $15.00. An international outgoing wire is $40.00. A stop payment is $25.00. The footer prints 800.328.8797.
Staying within $10 of zero, or keeping the item at $10 or less, avoids the $15.00 fee on this footnote. A returned item adds no DCU NSF fee, and the person you were paying can still charge you. Asking DCU to remove a fee already charged is a request. DCU can say no. Do not copy First Tech's $0 overdraft line onto a DCU statement. The names are related and the schedules are not the same.
