No overdraft fee
Opened 21 October 2026. The fee schedule PDF, effective October 1, 2026, prints Overdraft Fee as No Charge. The note says no fee applies to paid overdraft items via the Discretionary Overdraft service for a share draft, check, ACH, or other electronic means. Overdraft Protection Transfer is No Charge. Return ACH Origination Fee is $15.00. The note says this fee applies when you request First Tech to initiate an ACH transfer, one time or recurring, to or from an external account and it is unsuccessful or returned.
The overdraft services FAQ table prints No Overdraft Fee charged when a check, ACH, or recurring point of sale item is paid, when a check or ACH is rejected or returned, and when an ATM withdrawal or everyday point of sale item is rejected or paid. When items are rejected or returned unpaid, the FAQ says First Tech does not charge a fee, but the merchant may. A separate Return ACH Origination Fee may apply if you requested the ACH.

The $15 is not an overdraft fee
The schedule and the FAQ agree that a paid overdraft has no overdraft fee. The $15.00 is the Return ACH Origination Fee, and only when you asked First Tech to start the ACH and it came back. A merchant can still charge its own fee when First Tech returns an item. That merchant fee is not a First Tech overdraft fee.
