How to ask about a BMO eclipse Visa Infinite annual fee
BMO eclipse Visa Infinite is not BMO eclipse Visa Infinite Privilege, and it is not every card with World Elite in the name. BMO's own offer terms name a $120 primary annual fee for eclipse Visa Infinite, with a first year rebate that has conditions. Privilege is a different brochure. Asking BMO to remove a fee already charged is a request.

The $120 on the eclipse Visa Infinite offer
Opened 19 October 2026. BMO's credit card offer terms include a block for BMO eclipse Visa Infinite. Applications must be received between December 15, 2025 and October 31, 2027 to be eligible for that offer. It is not available to a current or former eclipse Visa Infinite cardholder who reinstates a closed account or opens a new account for the same card during that window. An existing BMO cardholder who transfers into the product during the window is not eligible. BMO says the offer may be withdrawn or changed without notice.
Inside that offer, BMO names a primary cardholder annual fee of $120. The fee is rebated in the first year and appears as a fee and a credit on the first statement. After the first year, the annual fee appears on the statement twelve months after the card open date. BMO says that annual fee waiver offer does not apply to the additional card annual fee. A first year rebate is not a promise to remove a fee that already posted on an older account. Private Wealth brochure, and Privilege
BMO's Private Wealth eclipse Visa Infinite brochure, valid as of May 28, 2025, also prints a $120 annual fee and a $50 additional card annual fee. It prints 21.99% on purchases, fees, and other charges, and 23.99% on cash advances and balance transfers, with 21.99% for Quebec residents on that cash advance line. It prints a minimum income of $60,000 individual or $100,000 household. The same brochure says the primary $120 annual fee will be refunded every year that you are a Private Banking client in a Platinum Banking Plan, and that each additional card fee of $50 will be refunded every year if the card was added at the time of the primary cardholder's application and you are in that Platinum plan. That yearly refund is a private banking condition. It is not the same sentence as the public first year rebate. The brochure says fees are subject to change. The apply line on that PDF is 1-833-256-7136.
Privilege is a different card. BMO's Private Wealth eclipse Visa Infinite Privilege brochure, valid as of May 11, 2025, prints a $599 annual fee and a $99 additional card annual fee. It prints the same 21.99% and 23.99% pattern, and a minimum income of $150,000 individual or $200,000 household. The apply line is 1-833-256-7137. The brochure describes a statement credit equal to 75% of the primary annual fee in the first year for its welcome offer, with applications from May 11, 2026 to October 31, 2026, and a separate Private Banking line: a $300 first year annual fee refund, plus $150 of the annual fee and $99 of the additional card fee refunded every year in a Platinum Banking Plan. Those are offers on that brochure. They are not a blank waiver. Do not use $599 for an eclipse Visa Infinite statement that is not Privilege.
World Elite is not one fee
The same BMO terms page does not print one World Elite annual fee. It names different dollars inside different offers. CashBack World Elite, for applications from December 15, 2025 to October 31, 2027, names a primary annual fee of $139 that is rebated in the first year, and says that waiver does not apply to the additional card fee. Blue Rewards World Elite, for applications from June 2, 2026 to October 31, 2027, names a primary annual fee of $150 rebated in the first year, and an additional card fee of $50 also rebated in the first year if the card is added at application. Ascend World Elite, for applications from September 15, 2026 to December 7, 2026, names a primary annual fee of $150 rebated in the first year, and an additional $50 rebated in the first year if added at application. If the statement only says World Elite, those three numbers are not interchangeable. Ask BMO which card it is.
A streaming statement credit on an eclipse offer is not the annual fee. The eclipse Visa Infinite offer describes up to $20 a month on named streaming purchases when you also spend $500 in net purchases that month, for up to 12 months. That credit can post next to a fee. Write them as two lines. A monthly fee on a BMO bank account is how to waive a BMO monthly fee, which is not this card.
What to ask
Use the phone number on the statement if it is printed there. Otherwise the terms page points eclipse Visa cards other than Privilege to 1-833-256-7136, and Privilege to 1-833-256-7137. Have the full card name, the date, and the amount. Ask whether the line is the primary annual fee, an additional card fee, or a different charge. Ask whether a first year rebate or a private banking refund applies to that account. BMO can say no. This page has no success rate.
If the answer is no, ask the last day you can close or change the card so the next annual fee is not charged. A refund after you cancel is on can you get a credit card annual fee refunded when you cancel. This page does not tell you to close the card.

- No. On the terms page opened here, CashBack World Elite names $139, and Blue Rewards World Elite and Ascend World Elite name $150, each inside its own offer and date window. If the statement does not give the full card name, ask BMO.
