What an Xbox charge means on your statement
A charge whose name includes Xbox or Microsoft can be a subscription billed by Microsoft. On 16 October 2026, Xbox's support pages did not load, and the Microsoft account cancel page does not name Xbox or Game Pass. It also does not print a price or a card descriptor. What Microsoft's cancel page does say
Microsoft's account billing article is about canceling a Microsoft subscription, and its examples are Clipchamp and OneDrive. It does not print Xbox, Game Pass, a card line, or a price. If your statement name includes Xbox or Microsoft, sign in to the Microsoft account that paid and open the subscriptions list. That list is how you confirm which product the charge belongs to.
The name on a bank line usually includes Xbox or Microsoft. This page does not invent a descriptor. Match the date and the amount to the subscription Microsoft shows.
How Microsoft says to cancel
Open the subscriptions page and sign in with the Microsoft account used to buy. Choose Manage, then Cancel. Microsoft also shows Upgrade or Cancel on some plans. If the button says Turn on recurring billing instead of Manage, Microsoft says the subscription is already set to expire and will not be charged after the date shown. You can keep using it until it expires.
If Google Play or the Apple app store sold the subscription, Microsoft says to contact that store. In Germany, Microsoft says you can cancel without signing in. A prorated refund depends on the subscription length and the country. Microsoft lists any length for Canada, Israel, Korea, and Turkey. It lists subscriptions longer than one month that have renewed for Denmark, Finland, Germany for purchases on or after March 1, 2022, the Netherlands, Poland, and Portugal.
