How to download a Wealthsimple statement PDF

Wealthsimple's help centre says monthly statements are PDF or CSV files in Documents. Use the PDF. Expenvo does not sign in to Wealthsimple, and the file stays on your device.

On the web

These steps are from Wealthsimple's Find your monthly statements.

Sign in on the web. Select the Profile menu at the bottom left, then Documents, then the Statements folder. Open the accounts dropdown and select the account. Each row shows a name, a date, and the account. Select PDF on that row. CSV is a spreadsheet. Expenvo reads the PDF.

Wealthsimple says monthly statements for managed accounts are only on the web. The help article also says Wealthsimple does not mail paper monthly statements. A bulk download is a ZIP of PDFs: Profile, Documents, Generate document, Bulk download monthly statements, choose PDF, set the dates, pick the accounts, then download. Unzip and upload one statement PDF at a time. How to read a statement PDF explains why one file per period is enough.

Questions

Does Expenvo sign in to the bank and download the PDF for me?
No. You download the PDF from the bank or card site. Expenvo reads that file on your device. It does not ask for the bank password.
Can I upload a photo of the statement instead?
A photo is harder to read. Use the PDF the bank creates, with text you can select. If the file asks for a password, download a copy that does not. Expenvo cannot open a locked PDF.
What if the menu names do not match this page?
Banks move buttons. Follow the official help page linked below. This guide is a reading of that page, not a second set of rules.
