What a Spotify charge means on your statement
People look up Spotify because that is the name on the statement. Spotify's help pages do not print one fixed statement line. They tell you to open Payment history.

Why the line looks like that
Spotify says it charges each Premium plan once per month. The US receipts page and the Canada receipts page use the same steps. Go to Payment history, under Your payments select the payment, then select Manage, then View receipts. Receipts are available for the last 2 years. If the list is empty, clear any active filters. You also get an email receipt when you start a trial or make the first payment of a new subscription.
Two charges, or a pending line
If you upgrade, for example to Premium Duo, Spotify says the first payment for the new plan is a few days earlier than normal, to make up for the higher monthly cost. After that, you pay once each month on or near the day of that first payment.
A line that says pending or processing is a temporary authorization by the payment provider, not a second completed charge. If a payment fails, Spotify tries again later. You may see the failed attempt and the payment that went through, but Spotify says only one has actually been taken. A late retry can also make two lines fall in the same month. The next month continues on or near the usual billing date.
A second account can also explain it. Spotify says you can sign up with email, a phone number, Apple, or Google, so try those logins. A family member or friend may have used the card. They should cancel or change their payment method.
Cancel the plan that is actually charging you
Spotify's US cancel page says to open Manage your plan and select Cancel subscription. Premium stays until the next billing date, then the account switches to free. Playlists and saved music stay. If you cancel during a zero priced free trial, Spotify says the account switches to free immediately, and that trial cannot be reactivated.
If you manage a Family or Duo plan, canceling ends Premium for the members from the next payment date. If you are only a member, the same steps remove you from the plan. They do not cancel the plan. Ask the plan manager to cancel or to change the payment method.
If you see no way to change the plan, Spotify says a partner such as a mobile or internet provider bills it. Open Manage your plan and check Payment for their contact link. The Canada receipts page does not print a different cancel menu. Upload the statement to Expenvo and it lists every subscription it finds. Expenvo does not cancel Spotify for you. Steps for stopping the next charge are on how to cancel a subscription you found on a statement.
