Incoming wire transfer fees at US banks

An incoming wire fee is what your bank charges when a wire is deposited into your account. It is not the fee the sender's bank charged to send it. Outgoing prices are on a different page. The dollars below were opened on 19 October 2026 and can change.

Incoming is not outgoing

The person who sends a wire often pays a sending fee. Your bank can charge a second fee to receive it. A bank in the middle can take money out of the amount before it arrives. The dollar in this table is only the receiving fee printed by Chase, Bank of America, or Wells Fargo for the accounts those documents describe. Outgoing wire transfer fees at US banks is the sending table. Wire transfer fees in the US and Canada is the regulator page, not a bank price.

A foreign currency wire can also include an exchange rate spread. Chase says the rate on a foreign currency wire is set by Chase and includes a spread. Bank of America says incoming wires received in a foreign currency are converted at its exchange rate, and that it makes money on the conversion. That spread is not the $15 receiving fee. Write them separately when the statement shows both.

What each bank prints

Opened 19 October 2026. Match the account before you use a dollar. A waiver on one account is not a waiver on every account at that bank. Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not sign in to the bank or the card company, and it does not cancel a card or a purchase.

How to read a waiver

Chase's schedule ties the $0 to how the wire was sent. The fee line says $15 per transfer, or $0 if the transfer was originally sent with the help of a Chase banker or using chase.com or Chase Mobile. A wire that started at another bank is the $15 case unless Chase tells you otherwise. The schedule does not say every incoming wire is free.

Bank of America's domestic incoming waiver covers three named Advantage checking accounts, plus clients in the Preferred Plus, Preferred Honors, or Premier rewards tiers. The international incoming waiver on that page is the rewards tiers, not every Advantage account. The schedule says Preferred Plus starts at a $30,000 average balance in qualifying accounts, Preferred Honors at $100,000, and Premier at $1,000,000, using a three month average. This guide does not decide which tier you are in. The schedule also says other banks, foreign taxes, and other fees can apply to an international wire.

Wells Fargo's page says consumer incoming domestic and international wires have no Wells Fargo fee, and the same for a non-analyzed business account. An analyzed business account is $15. The page says fees may still be charged by other banks, and that an incoming or outgoing domestic wire with incorrect information may be charged by Wells Fargo or by another bank. No fee at Wells Fargo does not mean the sender paid nothing.

Banks not in this table

Ally, Capital One, Citi, U.S. Bank, PNC, and Truist incoming dollars were not opened for this page. A missing row is not a statement that the incoming wire is free. Citi's deposit agreement is already cited on the outgoing page for the words Service Charges Incoming Wire Fee. This page does not add a Citi dollar, because that dollar was not re-read here.

If the fee on your statement does not match this table, use the statement. Ask the bank with the date, the amount, and the account name. They can say the fee stands. How to ask your bank to refund a fee is the request. US bank fees is the broader list.

Questions

Is the incoming fee the same as the outgoing fee?
Not in these documents. Chase prints $15 to receive and higher amounts to send. Bank of America prints $15 to receive and $30 for a domestic outgoing wire. Use the outgoing guide for a sending price.
Does Wells Fargo charge consumers to receive a wire?
The fees page says no Wells Fargo fee for a consumer incoming domestic or international wire. An analyzed business account is $15. Another bank can still deduct a fee from the amount.
When is a Chase incoming wire $0?
Chase prints $0 when the transfer was originally sent with a Chase banker or using chase.com or Chase Mobile. Otherwise the schedule prints $15 for a domestic or international incoming wire.
Will this table stay current?
No. These figures were opened on 19 October 2026. Bank of America's schedule is marked 08/2026. The account agreement controls if a number changes.
