Meridian NSF fee
Meridian Credit Union prints the NSF dollar on its personal accounts fee table. The main line is $10. A honoured NSF is a different line. This is an Ontario credit union, not Laurentian Bank, and not a US bank. Package fees are on [how to avoid the Meridian monthly fee](/guides/waive-meridian-monthly-fee). The wider table is [Canada NSF fees by bank](/guides/canada-nsf-fees-by-bank).

The $10 NSF line
Opened 21 October 2026. The dollars are from Meridian's personal accounts fees and service charges page. The current fee table prints Non-sufficient funds (NSF) at $10. Honoured NSF is $5 plus overdraft interest. NSF reversal is free. The page does not add a sentence that defines honoured NSF, so this guide does not invent one. Use the label on the statement next to the dollar.
Coverdraft on the same table is $5 per item. Overdraft protection is $5 a month plus interest. The overdraft interest rate is 21% per annum. Footnote 8 says that interest is calculated daily on the daily closing overdrawn balance and charged monthly. A separate note says overdraft protection is optional, can be cancelled at any time, and fees, if they apply, are charged at month end. A chargeback on that table is $7. That is not the $10 NSF line.
The comparison chart used for monthly packages lists 1-866-592-2226. This fees page does not reprint that number. Use the number on your statement.
The line on your own statement is the one that counts. Upload it on the upload page. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not call the institution.

This is not the monthly package
Student and US Dollar packages print no monthly fee on the comparison chart. Other packages run from $3 to $19. Those package dollars are on the monthly-fee page. An NSF line of $10 is not a package fee, and a package fee is not an NSF. Interac e-Transfer on this fee table is $1. The monthly chart explains when that $1 is refunded at month end. Do not treat the e-Transfer as the NSF fee.
