How to waive a Regions LifeGreen Checking fee
You get the figures in the Regions LifeGreen Checking quick guide, the words to look for on a statement, and a short list of questions for the phone. Asking Regions to remove a fee already charged is a request. Regions can say no. This page does not promise a waiver.

LifeGreen Checking
A direct download of the LifeGreen Checking quick guide PDF returned an error on 15 October 2026. The text indexed from that same PDF is what this page uses. It is not the Private Wealth schedule, which prints a different paper fee. If the PDF and your account agreement disagree, the agreement controls the fee.
That quick guide says you can avoid the monthly fee with either of these. One: an ACH direct deposit, such as payroll or a government benefit, of at least one deposit of $500, or a combined $1,000. Deposits that post on the last day of the statement period count in the next period. Two: a $1,500 average monthly statement balance.
Otherwise the monthly fee is $8 with online statements or $11 with paper statements without check images. An electronic statement is $0. The guide says the monthly fee may not be charged for at least 61 days after the account is opened, even if the waiver rules are not met yet. Preferred Checking is a different account. Do not use its fee here.
Find the fee on the statement
Look for monthly fee, online statement, or paper statement. Write the date, the printed name, and the amount. A deposit on the last day of the period may not count until the next statement. That rule is in the quick guide, not a guess.
An $8 fee charged every month for 12 months is $96. An $11 fee for 12 months is $132. The result is arithmetic. It is not a quote from Regions, and it is not money Regions has agreed to return.
What to ask Regions
Use the phone number on the statement if it is printed there. Ask whether the account is LifeGreen Checking, whether the statement is online or paper, and whether a qualifying direct deposit posted before the last day. Then ask Regions to review the fee. They can say no.
The regions.com personal pricing page did not have to be opened for these figures, because the quick guide text already states them. Expenvo does not call Regions.
