What a Roblox or Epic Games charge means
A Roblox or Epic Games line is usually in game currency or a game purchase. Roblox prints two names to look for: Xsolla*Roblox, and Roblox with no Xsolla prefix. Epic's pages opened 17 October 2026 do not print one required card code. A child can buy with a saved card. Refunds depend on who processed the payment, and on whether the item was already used.

What the line can say
Roblox's unauthorized charges article says that if the statement says Xsolla*Roblox, contact Xsolla. If it says Roblox without that prefix, contact Roblox. Have the dates and amounts, the billing name, the last four digits of the card, the PayPal email if you used PayPal, Google Play purchase numbers if they start with GPA, the Roblox username if you know it, and jpg or png attachments only.
Purchases through Apple or iTunes, the Microsoft Store, Xbox, PlayStation, Meta Quest, Samsung, and Amazon show up on the card linked to that store. Roblox says it cannot refund those. Ask the store. The same is true for a lot of Epic purchases on a console or a phone. The store name on the statement is the first clue. Apple bills are on APPLE.COM/BILL. Google bills are on GOOGLE*. PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, and Steam have their own guides if the line names the console store instead of the game.
Roblox says people should get permission from the payment account owner before buying. Unauthorized charges violate the terms and can permanently close the accounts involved. Epic's Fortnite refund page is about V-Bucks items, not about a cash refund of the original card charge. A real money refund and a V-Bucks return are different requests.
Refunds
For a Roblox charge on a credit or debit card, PayPal, or Google Play, Roblox asks you to contact its support before you dispute the charge with the bank or the card. Once the charge is disputed, Roblox says it cannot issue a refund because of the payment provider's dispute process. After you report an eligible charge, the billing department investigates. Have the list ready so you are not guessing from memory.
Epic's Fortnite help page says you can cancel or return many Item Shop cosmetics bought with V-Bucks. Cancel Purchase is for a mistake. It is available for 24 hours if the item has not been used or equipped. The item is removed and the V-Bucks come back. Each item can be canceled one time. If you buy it again, the game reminds you. After 24 hours, a Return Ticket may work for an eligible item bought within the last 30 days. The item is removed and the V-Bucks come back. A bundle has to be returned together. Each account starts with 3 Return Tickets. The page lists items that cannot be returned this way, including gifted purchases. Open the page for the full list rather than guessing. In the game, open the player icon, then Settings, Account and Privacy, then Return or Cancel Purchase. On the web, sign in at fortnite.com/shop, open the player icon, then Return and Cancel Purchases.
Epic's article on a charge you do not recognize did not return its text on 17 October 2026, so this guide does not invent a day count for a cash refund. If the payment was on PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch, Epic's parental controls article points you to that platform for the refund. A charge you truly did not authorize is still a card question after you have asked the merchant. The US steps are on dispute a charge in the US. The Canadian steps are on dispute a charge in Canada.
Limits for a child's spending
Roblox's parental controls overview, opened 17 October 2026, says a parent account can set a monthly spending limit. The amount you enter is between 0 and 10,000 in your local currency. The default is No limit. The limit resets at the end of the calendar month and does not roll over. It does not cover gift card redemptions, and it may not apply on some consoles. Spending limits stop applying once the child turns 13. You can still get spending notifications. High spend alerts, which are on by default for linked parents, email you if the child spends $100, $250, or $500 USD, or the local currency equivalent, in a month, and then after every ten transactions. You can instead choose every transaction, or none. The monthly limit path is Settings, Parental controls, Settings you manage, Spending restrictions, Monthly spending limit, then Update.
Epic's help article on daily spending limits for players under 13 says children who have indicated they are under 13 have a daily spending limit of $100 anywhere Epic Games payment is used, including Fortnite, Rocket League, Fall Guys, and the Epic Games Store. A purchase over that limit needs the Parental Controls PIN before it can finish. The limit does not apply to payments on PlayStation, Steam, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch, and it does not apply to in game currency such as V-Bucks. The PIN is 6 digits. Set it from the parental controls screen, and keep it different from other PINs. Console purchases still follow that console's own family settings.
A limit does not pull back a charge that already posted. It only blocks or warns on later ones. If a child already spent the money, use the refund path above, then set the limit the same day. Turning the limit on does not cancel a subscription by itself. The general cancel steps are on how to cancel a subscription.
Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo groups the same merchant when a similar amount shows up again about a week, a month, or a year apart, and it lists a line that already says membership or subscription. You can also mark a name yourself. It does not cancel the plan, and it does not count the charge as savings. One month can miss a yearly renewal. The longer checklist is find subscriptions from a statement.
