What a PlayStation charge means on your statement
A charge whose name includes PlayStation can be PlayStation Plus or another subscription bought in the PlayStation Store. Sony's US support page does not print the exact letters on a bank line, and it does not print a price. Confirm the name in your PlayStation subscriptions list.

What the US page covers
Sony's US page says you can cancel PlayStation Plus, GTA+, EA Play, Ubisoft+ Classics, and other PlayStation Store subscriptions on a PS5, a PS4, the PlayStation App, or the web. Once you cancel, the subscription is deactivated from the next payment date. The page does not print a card descriptor or a membership price.
The name on a statement usually includes PlayStation. Match the date and the amount to the subscription screen before you call it fraud. This guide uses the US support page. A UK page was not the source for these steps.
Where to cancel
On the web, Sony says Account Management, then Subscription, then Cancel. On a PS5: Settings, Users and Accounts, Account, Payment and Subscriptions, Subscriptions, then Cancel Subscription. Some subscriptions also use Game and App Services, then Turn Off Auto-Renewal. On a PS4: Settings, Account Management, Account Information, Subscriptions, then Cancel Subscription. Other subscriptions are in the service list. In the app: the PlayStation Store icon, the menu, Subscriptions Management, then Cancel.
Sony says Reactivate Subscription, before the next payment date, keeps the subscription active. Upload the statement to Expenvo and it lists every subscription it finds. Questions
- Does PlayStation print the card line?
- No. The US cancel page linked here does not print a descriptor or a price. It tells you to cancel from the subscriptions list on the console, in the app, or on the web.
- When does a canceled plan stop?
- Sony's US page says a canceled subscription is deactivated from the next payment date. Reactivate before that date if you want it to stay active.
- Is this only PlayStation Plus?
- No. The same US page lists PlayStation Plus, GTA+, EA Play, Ubisoft+ Classics, and other PlayStation Store subscriptions.
- Does deleting the app cancel it?
- The US page does not say that. It gives cancel steps in the account, on the console, and in the PlayStation App. Use those.
