Tangerine RRSP, TFSA, and RIF transfer fee
Moving a Tangerine registered savings account to another institution is a fee on the bank fee schedule. The schedule prints $50 for an RSP, $50 for a TFSA, and $50 for a RIF. It does not print a tax figure next to those lines.

Three $50 lines
Opened 20 October 2026. Under fees for registered savings accounts, the schedule prints $50 to transfer an RSP to another financial institution, $50 to transfer a TFSA, and $50 to transfer a RIF. Those are three rows, not one fee that covers every plan you hold. A transfer of more than one plan can be more than one $50 line. The schedule does not say the fee is waived for a transfer inside Tangerine, because the row is a transfer to another institution.
The schedule does not say whether the transfer is taxable. Do not turn the $50 into a tax. A cash withdrawal from a registered plan is a different request, and this page does not invent a withdrawal fee the schedule did not print in that section. The large bank transfer table, which does not include this $50, is on RRSP and TFSA transfer fees.
Chequing NSF, overdraft, and paper statement amounts on the same schedule are already on Tangerine Chequing monthly fee. A $50 registered transfer is not that monthly fee, and the Chequing Account page is not where this $50 is printed.
The line on your own statement is the one that counts. Upload it on the upload page. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not call the bank.
Questions
- How much does Tangerine charge to transfer an RRSP out?
- The bank fee schedule prints $50 to transfer an RSP to another financial institution. A TFSA transfer is a separate $50 row, and a RIF transfer is a separate $50 row.
- Does that $50 include tax?
- The schedule prints the $50 service fee and does not print a tax amount beside it. Tax on a registered plan, if any, is a different question from this fee.
- Is the $50 the same as the Tangerine chequing NSF fee?
- No. NSF on the same schedule is $10, with the limits printed in that footnote. The $50 rows are only for transferring an RSP, a TFSA, or a RIF to another financial institution.
