What a SpotHero, ParkMobile, HONK, or Impark charge means
A parking app charge is the reservation or the meter session, not a bank monthly fee. PayByPhone already has its own guide. This page is SpotHero, ParkMobile, HONK, and Impark, using each company's own help page. No page opened here printed one code that every statement must use.

SpotHero
SpotHero's FAQ, opened 17 October 2026, says your card is charged when you press pay and reserve at checkout, not when the reservation starts or ends. Reservations can be canceled up until the minute before they begin for a full refund, in the app, on the website, or by the self service phone system. Once a reservation has started, it cannot be canceled or refunded. The customer team number on that answer is (844) 324-7768, and the email is [email protected]. Have the rental ID.
The same FAQ says the SpotHero price is the entire price of the reservation, with taxes and fees included in the checkout price. Some locations charge a separate oversize fee for vehicles taller than 65 inches or longer than 181 inches. If that fee is not paid when you reserve, you pay it on site. The spot details and the parking pass say whether it applies. Monthly billing is often on the 1st and the 15th, and some facilities bill five days before the next month. The FAQ says monthly parking is not prorated. The page does not print a required card descriptor such as a star code. Match SpotHero, the date you pressed pay and reserve, and the amount. ParkMobile and HONK
ParkMobile's article 'What if I have questions about my parking charges?', updated May 09, 2025, says a session can work like a grocery purchase: you park on Saturday and the charge posts Monday or Tuesday. Compare the number of posted charges with the number of sessions in parking history. Questions go to a support request that includes your mobile number, or to [email protected]. The article does not print a statement code. Do not add a code from a third party blog. If the counts match, the line is the session, even if the posting date is later. If the counts do not match, email ParkMobile with the statement date and amount.
HONK's article on unrecognized charges, updated October 16, 2026, says the first check is the household. HONK is used at schools and hospitals, and a spouse, child, or relative may have used a saved card or a shared wallet. If the charge is still unknown, email [email protected], or dispute it with the card issuer. The article says that when a chargeback is filed, HONK automatically refunds the transaction and permanently blocks accounts associated with disputed or fraudulent activity. Read that sentence before you file a dispute you might still recognize. The article does not print a required descriptor. A toll charge is not a parking app charge. Toll agencies are on toll road charges.
Impark, and what Expenvo can group
Impark's notice payment pages describe how to pay a parking notice. They do not print a bank statement code. A lot page can mention the hangTag app as a way to buy parking at that lot. That is not a national descriptor, and this guide does not invent one such as a star prefix. Match the name Impark, or the operator on the sign, to the date and the amount. If the line is a notice rather than a meter session, use the notice number format Impark shows on its payment page. EV charging at a garage is a different merchant, covered on EV charging charges.
A parking line that repeats can be a monthly spot or a commute you forgot. Compare the days of the week with the sessions in the app before you call it fraud. A bank NSF fee for a parking payment that did not clear is a separate line. That fee is on NSF or insufficient funds fees.
Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo groups the same merchant when a similar amount shows up again about a week, a month, or a year apart, and it lists a line that already says membership or subscription. You can also mark a name yourself. It does not cancel the plan, and it does not count the charge as savings. One month can miss a yearly renewal.
