How to download a Simplii statement PDF
Simplii's banking tips say the online path selects a statement PDF, and the app path is for viewing or printing on the phone. Expenvo does not sign in to Simplii, and the file stays on your device.

Online banking
These steps are from Simplii's online and mobile banking tips.
Sign on through online banking. Select Account Summary. Select the account. Select View eStatements. Select the statement PDF for the month you want. Open the downloaded document. Simplii says you need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view or save an eStatement as a PDF.
That downloaded PDF is the file to upload. A Canadian dollar statement stays in C$. After you upload it, Expenvo lists the charges, the bank fees, and the subscriptions on your device. How to read a statement PDF covers one statement per file.
The app
In the app, the same page says: sign on, select My Accounts, select the account, select the Account Info tab, select View eStatements, select the month and year, then Continue. Printing uses the phone's own share or print control. On iPhone, Simplii says to use the share button and then Print. The page describes that path as view or print, not as a saved file. For a PDF you can upload, use the online steps.
Simplii's legal terms list $5.00 to retrieve a past paper statement. That is a paper copy fee, not the monthly account fee, and it is not the eStatement download. The phone number on the tips page is 1-888-723-8881. Use the number on your statement if it disagrees.
Questions
- Does Expenvo sign in to the bank and download the PDF for me?
- No. You download the PDF from the bank or card site. Expenvo reads that file on your device. It does not ask for the bank password.
- Can I upload a photo of the statement instead?
- A photo is harder to read. Use the PDF the bank creates, with text you can select. If the file asks for a password, download a copy that does not. Expenvo cannot open a locked PDF.
- Is the $5 paper copy the monthly account fee?
- No. Simplii's legal terms list $5.00 to retrieve a past paper statement. The eStatement steps on the banking tips page are the download. A monthly account fee, if you have one, is a different line.
