SchoolsFirst prints $22 when it returns an item against a non-sufficient available balance, and $22 when it pays an overdraft. The footnote caps those fees at three per share per day. The wider table is US overdraft fees by bank.

The $22 rows
Opened 21 October 2026. The dollars are in the SchoolsFirst fee disclosure PDF. NSF, any payment instrument returned against a non-sufficient funds available balance, is $22. Standard Overdraft, any payment instrument paid against that balance, is $22. The footnote says no more than three NSF or Overdraft fees are charged per share, per day.
The overdraft section says SchoolsFirst will assess $22 per overdraft transaction. It will assess this fee if the overdraft transaction is over $10 and the account is overdrawn by more than $10. It limits overdraft fees to a maximum of three fees per share, per day. The PDF lists (800) 462-8328.

| Line | What SchoolsFirst prints |
|---|---|
| NSF item returned | $22 |
| Standard overdraft paid | $22 |
| Daily cap, footnote | No more than three NSF or Overdraft fees per share, per day |
| When the $22 overdraft fee applies | Transaction over $10 and the account overdrawn by more than $10 |
How to avoid a fourth fee
The cap is three fees per share per day, not three fees on the whole membership. A fourth item on the same share the same day is the one the footnote stops. The $10 test is two parts: the transaction is over $10, and the account is overdrawn by more than $10. This page quotes both parts and does not collapse them into one rule.
