What an iCloud+ charge means on your statement

An iCloud+ charge is a monthly storage plan from Apple. The free plan is 5 GB. Paid plans are 50 GB, 200 GB, 2 TB, 6 TB, and 12 TB. The statement often shows Apple, not the words iCloud+. US and Canada prices are different. Apple's price list can change.

Why the statement says Apple

Opened 19 October 2026. Apple's help page for apple.com/bill says a charge with that name can be apps, subscriptions, music, movies, or more. iCloud+ is one subscription that can sit inside that charge. The plan name and the storage size are in your Apple Account purchase history, not always on the bank line. What APPLE.COM/BILL means is the general Apple bill. This page is only the storage plan.

Apple's iCloud+ plans page, published 16 September 2026, says you are billed monthly after you upgrade. The same page says you can share the plan with up to five other family members. Apple's iCloud page says that family sharing is at no extra cost. One plan can cover several people. The statement still shows one charge to the organizer, not a separate charge for each member.

United States and Canada prices

On the plans page, the United States row in US dollars is $0.99 for 50 GB, $2.99 for 200 GB, $9.99 for 2 TB, $29.99 for 6 TB, and $59.99 for 12 TB. Footnote 4 says residents in some US states have tax added because of state law. The price on the statement can be higher than the table by that tax.

The Canada row in Canadian dollars is $1.29 for 50 GB, $3.99 for 200 GB, $12.99 for 2 TB, $39.99 for 6 TB, and $79.99 for 12 TB. That row does not carry the footnote that says taxes are included, and it does not carry the US tax footnote. Do not convert a US price into Canadian dollars and expect the statement to match. Match the country of the Apple Account.

The free starting point on that page is 5 GB. A charge means the account is on a paid plan, or the charge includes other Apple purchases grouped into one bill. If the amount is larger than one plan in the table, Apple may have combined purchases. Search purchase history for the amount. How to find subscriptions on a statement is the wider list.

What each plan includes

Apple says every paid plan includes iCloud Private Relay, Hide My Email, Custom Email Domain, and Apple Invites, where those features are offered. HomeKit Secure Video covers one camera on 50 GB, up to five cameras on 200 GB, and an unlimited number of cameras on 2 TB, 6 TB, and 12 TB. A camera still has to be a compatible HomeKit camera, and a home hub has to be in the house. Not every feature is offered in every country.

Accepted payment methods for an upgrade are a credit card, a debit card, and your Apple Account balance. If the balance does not cover the upgrade, Apple charges the rest to the card. Apple says Apple Store gift cards are not accepted as payment for upgrading iCloud+. A gift card balance is not an explanation for a missing iCloud charge.

Cancel or change the plan

Apple's upgrade page says you choose a plan in Settings. Changing to a smaller plan, or back to the free 5 GB, is how you stop the next paid renewal. This guide does not invent a menu path beyond that, because Apple's buttons move. Follow the steps on Apple's page while you are signed in to the Apple Account that pays.

Canceling stops a future renewal. It does not erase a charge that already posted. A refund is a separate request in purchase history, and Apple says a purchase has to be eligible. Steps for a subscription you found on a statement are on how to cancel a subscription. If Family Sharing is on, the organizer is the person who is billed.
