How to download a Synchrony credit card statement

Many store cards are issued by Synchrony. The statement PDF is in the Synchrony account, not in the store's receipt history. You save that PDF yourself. Expenvo does not sign in to Synchrony, and the file stays on your device.

Confirm the issuer, then open Statements

Read the issuer on the statement or on the back of the card. A store name is not the issuer. The Amazon Visa credit card is not automatically a Synchrony card. PayPal Credit and a Lowe's store card are often Synchrony, and some other Amazon credit accounts are Synchrony too. If the statement does not say Synchrony, these steps are the wrong menu. Use the issuer printed on the bill.

Synchrony's paperless page says you register the card at synchrony.com or in the MySynchrony app, then enroll in paperless statements. You can change back to paper. Sign in, click Statements on the home page, and select the delivery method. Synchrony emails you when a paperless statement is ready. For security, Synchrony does not email the statement itself. The email has a link. You sign in, then use the Statements quick link to view, print, or download. The paperless file is a PDF of the paper statement, except the account number is not printed on the electronic bill.

The app, the bank site, and the file to upload

The MySynchrony app page says you can view statements and change the delivery preference for Synchrony issued credit cards in one place. Download the app from the store on your phone. Expenvo does not ask you to install it, and it does not read it. If the menus in the app and on the website use different words, follow the page that matches the screen you see.

Synchrony Bank deposit accounts are a different login. Synchrony's banking articles say you sign in at synchrony.com/banking, open Inbox, then Statements, and download the PDF there. A high yield savings statement is not a Lowe's or PayPal Credit card statement. Use the credit card path for a store card. Use the bank path only when the account is a Synchrony Bank deposit account.

The paperless FAQ says you can switch back to mail from the Statements link. You get an email when the PDF is ready, and you get a confirmation when you enroll. If the notice never arrives, Synchrony says to mark the sender as a trusted address so the filter does not hide it. If a paper statement never arrives in the mail, check whether you already enrolled in paperless at registration, and check the mailing address on the account. The electronic PDF is the statement to upload. It matches the paper bill, without the full account number printed on it.

Save the PDF. A US dollar Synchrony statement stays in USD. After you upload it, Expenvo lists the charges and the fees on your device. How to read a statement PDF covers one statement per file. The paperless page does not print a fee for the PDF, and it does not print how many years stay online. If a month is missing, ask Synchrony whether a mailed copy has a fee before you order it. That kind of fee is on statement copy and research fees.
