Simplii wire transfer fee

A Simplii wire is not an Interac e-Transfer. The products and services agreement prints the fee by the size of the wire, in the currency of the account. A correspondent bank can still take its own charge.

Outgoing, incoming, and an investigation

Opened 20 October 2026. On a Canadian dollar account, an outgoing wire of CAD $10,000 or less is $30.00. From CAD $10,000.01 to $50,000 it is $50.00. Above CAD $50,000 it is $80.00. The fee is charged per wire. A wire from another financial institution is $10.00, and the agreement says a correspondent bank may levy additional charges. A recall, a trace, or an amendment is $35.00 per investigation, and that fee may apply to both incoming and outgoing wires.

A US dollar account uses the same three outgoing steps at USD 30.00, USD 50.00, and USD 80.00. Incoming is USD 10.00. An investigation is USD 35.00. The same table prints separate amounts for CNH, EUR, GBP, INR, and PHP accounts. Use the column for the account you hold. Do not convert the Canadian dollar fee yourself and call that Simplii's price.

The agreement says Simplii acts as principal, not as your agent, and may use correspondents. Unless you designate the transfer as free and clear of all charges, Simplii and any correspondents may deduct unpaid fees before the beneficiary is credited. You prepay the wire, and you agree to pay the costs whether or not the transfer is completed. Simplii says it will rely on the account number you give even if that account is not in the beneficiary's name.

The line on your own statement is the one that counts. Upload it on the upload page. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not call the bank.

What this is not

Interac e-Transfer is a different service. The older Simplii brochure that printed a $45 NSF fee is not this wire table. The current agreement's NSF line is $10.00, with its own limits, and it is already on Canada NSF fees by bank. CIBC's personal wire tiers use the same $30, $50, and $80 steps. That is a different page. Use the Simplii agreement for a Simplii account.

The big bank outgoing table is on wire fees at Canadian banks. How to read the line is on what a wire transfer fee is.

Questions

How much is a Simplii outgoing wire?
On a Canadian dollar account the products agreement prints $30.00 up to CAD $10,000, $50.00 from CAD $10,000.01 to $50,000, and $80.00 above CAD $50,000. A US dollar account prints USD 30.00, USD 50.00, and USD 80.00 for those same steps.
Does Simplii charge to receive a wire?
Yes. The agreement prints $10.00 on a Canadian dollar account and USD 10.00 on a US dollar account for a wire from another financial institution. It also says a correspondent bank may levy additional charges.
Is a Simplii wire the same as Interac e-Transfer?
No. A wire is the transfer described in the wire section of the products agreement. Interac e-Transfer is a separate service, and a stop on an Interac e-Transfer is a different $3.50 line in the same agreement.
