How to download a Tangerine statement PDF

Tangerine's FAQ says where the statement PDF is. Download it yourself. Expenvo does not sign in to Tangerine, and the file stays on your device.

Online and in the app

These steps are from Tangerine's How do I download Statements? page.

Online: log in, choose the account, and select Statements. Tangerine says every statement you need should be there. In the app: tap More, then Profile and Settings, then Documents, then the statement period and the account.

Electronic statements are monthly for all accounts except investment fund accounts, which are quarterly. A transaction download in CSV or Quicken format is not the statement PDF. How to read a statement PDF says to use the PDF.

Paper, and a reprint fee

Tangerine says clients can choose paper statements except for chequing accounts, children's savings accounts, line of credit accounts, personal loan accounts, and RSP loan accounts, which are paperless. Paper statements are sent quarterly for active accounts.

The same FAQ says a past statement reprint costs $5.00 per statement. It says there is no charge for a current monthly statement reprint. That $5.00 is a reprint charge, not the monthly account fee. A Canadian dollar account stays in C$.

Questions

Does Expenvo sign in to the bank and download the PDF for me?
No. You download the PDF from the bank or card site. Expenvo reads that file on your device. It does not ask for the bank password.
Can I upload a photo of the statement instead?
A photo is harder to read. Use the PDF the bank creates, with text you can select. If the file asks for a password, download a copy that does not. Expenvo cannot open a locked PDF.
Is the $5 reprint the same as a monthly account fee?
No. Tangerine's FAQ says a past statement reprint costs $5.00 per statement, and that a current monthly statement reprint has no charge. A monthly account fee, if you have one, is a different line.
