How to ask about a Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite annual fee

The card Scotiabank publishes under this name is the Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite +, with a plus in the product name. The page prints $120 a year for the primary card and $50 for each additional card. A first year waiver applies only to new accounts opened in a dated window. The regular Momentum Visa is a different, smaller fee. Asking Scotiabank to remove a fee already charged is a request.

The $120 on the Infinite + page

Opened 19 October 2026. The Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite + card page prints an annual fee of $120 a year. Supplementary cards are $50 a year. Purchase interest is 20.99%. The cash advance rate is 22.99%, and the page says that rate also applies to balance transfers and cash like transactions. The legal text says the current annual fee is $120 for the primary card and $50 for each additional card, including cards issued to co borrowers and supplementary cardholders. The same text says rates, fees, features, and benefits are in the application disclosure and are subject to change. For current rates, the page lists 1-888-882-8958.

The compare cards page lists this Infinite + card at an annual fee of $120, and it lists the Scotia Momentum Visa, without Infinite in the name, at an annual fee of $49. Do not use $120 for the $49 card, or $49 for the Infinite + card. Match the name on the statement. How to ask about a Scotiabank Gold American Express fee is a different card. Canadian credit card fees keeps annual fees, cash advances, and interest apart.

The first year waiver has a window

The offer on the page waives the annual fee for the primary card and each additional card for the first year only. It applies to new Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite + accounts that are opened, and any additional cards issued, between July 2, 2026 and November 1, 2026, regardless of the application date, if the other conditions are met. Scotiabank says the offer may be changed, cancelled, or extended without notice, and it cannot be combined with other offers.

People who are current or former primary or secondary cardholders of a Scotiabank personal credit card in the past 2 years are not eligible, including people who switch from an existing Scotiabank personal credit card. Scotiabank employees are not eligible. The page says small business credit cardholders can still be eligible, subject to those exclusions. A balance transfer offer on the same page is separate: 0% for 12 months, then 22.99%, with a 2% fee per cash advance and a minimum fee of $5.00. That 2% is not the annual fee. A welcome cash back offer is not a waiver either.

What to ask

Use the phone number on the statement if it is printed there. The rates line on the public page is 1-888-882-8958. Have the date, the fee name, and the amount. Ask whether the account is the Infinite + card at $120 or the Momentum Visa at $49. Ask whether the first year waiver was supposed to apply, and whether a past Scotiabank card blocked it. Then ask Scotiabank to review the fee or remove it. They can say no. This page has no success rate. If the answer is no, ask about a product change and the last day to close before the next annual fee. This page does not tell you to close the card. Questions

Is Momentum Visa Infinite the same as Momentum Visa Infinite +?
The public card page opened on 19 October 2026 uses the name Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite +, with a plus, and prints $120. If your statement does not include the plus, ask Scotiabank which fee schedule is on that account before you use $120.
Is $49 the Infinite fee?
No. On the compare page opened the same day, $49 is the Scotia Momentum Visa. The Infinite + card is $120. Match the product name.
Does everyone get the first year free?
No. The waiver on the page is for new accounts opened between July 2, 2026 and November 1, 2026, and it excludes many people who already had a Scotiabank personal credit card in the past 2 years. Scotiabank can change the dates.
Will Scotiabank remove an annual fee it already charged if I ask?
They might, and they might not. Asking is a request. Nothing on this page says Scotiabank has to waive a fee already on the statement.
