What the August 2026 schedule prints

Opened 21 October 2026. The personal fee schedule is marked effective 20 August 2026, form FN03077, page dated 08/2026. The overdraft fee is $35.00 per transaction Webster has paid when the account did not have enough to cover it. The items named are checks, in-person withdrawals, and electronic payments. The maximum is 4 fees per business day, which the schedule writes as up to $140.00.

The same box says no fee applies if you are overdrawn by $5.00 or less at the end of the business day, if the check, in-person withdrawal, or electronic payment is returned unpaid, if the debit card transaction was authorized when the available balance was sufficient, if the debit card transaction or ATM withdrawal is declined, or if the debit is from a Webster Connect Checking account. Paying an item is not the same as returning it. A returned item on this schedule is the no-fee case.

A May 2023 consumer fee schedule on Webster's site prints $37.00 for an insufficient available funds fee. That is an older file. Do not use $37.00 for a personal account after the August 2026 schedule. The big-bank overdraft table does not include Webster. It is on US overdraft fees by bank.

Debit cards, Connect Checking, and a transfer

The default on the same schedule is that debit card purchases are declined when there is not enough money, and no overdraft fee applies because the item is not paid. Opting in costs $0.00 to enroll. After you opt in, the fee is $35.00 per paid item. The schedule says that service is not available for savings accounts, money market accounts, or Webster Connect Checking.

Webster's Connect Checking page says the account does not incur overdraft fees, and that overdraft protection is not available. The bank may decline or return a transaction that would overdraw the account. The fee schedule also prints a $0.00 automatic transfer from a linked Webster savings or money market account. An overdraft line of credit can have interest and other fees. The schedule does not print that interest rate, so this page does not invent one.

The number on the schedule is 800.325.2424. Statement steps are on how to download a Webster Bank statement. Webster is a division of Santander Bank, N.A. Santander's own download menu is a different guide.

The line on your own statement is the one that counts. Upload it on the upload page. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not call the bank.
