How to download a Citi statement PDF
Citi's own tutorial says where Statements (PDF) sits in Citi Online. You save that file yourself. Expenvo does not sign in to Citi, and the PDF stays on your device.

Recent statements in Citi Online
These steps are from Citi's statements tutorial (PDF).
Log in to Citi Online. Click the Statements (PDF) link. Recent statements that were issued after the card was registered for Citi Online can be downloaded there. Enter the date in the drop-down box, choose the format, and click Download. A pop-up lets you open the file or save it. Citi says pop-ups need to be enabled.
Citi's paperless statements page says the last 12 months of statements, and new ones, are available online for select cards. You can view, print, and save current statements immediately. Requesting a PDF of a past statement has no additional cost on that page. The phone number on that page is 1-800-347-4934. Use the number on your statement if it disagrees.
Older statements, and the file to upload
The same tutorial says statements that are not in Recent Statements are requested under Older Statements. Select the year and the month, then click Request. The status shows as Processing Request. Citi says a request may take 48 to 72 hours. After that, log on, open Statement (PDF), and click Ready for Download in Older Statement Request Status. A requested older statement stays available for 7 days. Save it before that window closes.
Those pages do not print a separate path for the Citi mobile app, so this guide does not invent one. Save the statement PDF, not a list of recent transactions. A US dollar Citi statement stays in USD. After you upload it, Expenvo lists the charges, the bank fees, and the subscriptions on your device. How to read a statement PDF covers one statement per file.
Questions
- Does Expenvo sign in to the bank and download the PDF for me?
- No. You download the PDF from the bank or card site. Expenvo reads that file on your device. It does not ask for the bank password.
- Can I upload a photo of the statement instead?
- A photo is harder to read. Use the PDF the bank creates, with text you can select. If the file asks for a password, download a copy that does not. Expenvo cannot open a locked PDF.
- What if the menu names do not match this page?
- Banks move buttons. Follow the official help page linked below. This guide is a reading of that page, not a second set of rules.
