How to download a Capital One statement PDF
Capital One's help centre prints the clicks for a bank statement. A separate article says credit card statements are in the signed in account or the mobile app. You download the PDF yourself. Expenvo does not sign in to Capital One.
Bank accounts
These steps are from Capital One's online bank statements help page. It says you can view up to 7 years of statements for active accounts, on the website and in the app. It also says online viewing needs paperless statements.
On the website: sign in at capitalone.com, select the account, then view statements. In the app: sign in, tap the account, scroll to the bottom, and tap statements. The page says bank statements are typically online by the 6th of the month, and that a savings account with no activity may get a quarterly statement.
Credit cards
Capital One's article How to read your credit card statement says customers open card statements in the Capital One Mobile app or by signing in online. That article does not print a separate click list for the PDF. Use the statements control in the signed in card account, and save the PDF the site offers.
Do not upload a screenshot of the transactions list if a statement PDF is available. How to read a statement PDF explains the difference.
Questions
- Does Expenvo sign in to the bank and download the PDF for me?
- No. You download the PDF from the bank or card site. Expenvo reads that file on your device. It does not ask for the bank password.
- Can I upload a photo of the statement instead?
- A photo is harder to read. Use the PDF the bank creates, with text you can select. If the file asks for a password, download a copy that does not. Expenvo cannot open a locked PDF.
- What if the menu names do not match this page?
- Banks move buttons. Follow the official help page linked below. This guide is a reading of that page, not a second set of rules.
