Paper statement fees at US banks
Some US banks print a monthly fee for a mailed statement. Others print no fee for online statements and do not print a paper mailing price at all. This page copies only what each bank's own page printed on 20 October 2026. The idea of the fee, without those dollars, is on [paper statement fees](/guides/paper-statement-fees).

Where a schedule prints a dollar
Opened 20 October 2026. A check image fee is a different line when the schedule prints one. Those dollars are on cheque image fees. TD Bank, N.A. in the United States is not TD Canada Trust. The line on your own statement is the one that counts. Upload it on the upload page. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not sign in to the bank.
| Bank | Paper fee the page prints | What the same page also says |
|---|---|---|
| PNC | $2.00 or $3.00 a statement period, depending on the account | Consumer schedule effective 22 February 2026. Online only is no charge. Paper only is $2.00 on Simple Checking (no charge at age 62 or older), $3.00 on Standard Checking unless you meet a monthly service charge waiver, and no charge on all other accounts. Dual online and paper is no charge on Performance Select, $2.00 on Simple Checking, and $3.00 on all other accounts. |
| Citizens | $3 a month on One Deposit Checking | Personal Deposit Account Fees and Features Guide, revised October 2026. Paperless eStatement is no charge. The paper fee is not assessed when any account signer is under 18 or 65 or older. Combining accounts onto one paper statement can avoid a second fee. The One Deposit Savings guide prints the same $3 paper statement. |
| TD Bank | $3.00 a statement cycle | Personal fee schedule 5911-RET (07/26). TD Essential Banking is $1.00. TD Complete Checking is free when the primary account holder is 60 or older. The waiver chart marks the paper fee as waived on Signature Savings, Private Tiered Checking, Private Tiered Savings, other personal savings, and the development accounts. Printed check images are a separate $2.00. |
| BMO Bank N.A. | $2 on Smart Money Checking | The Smart Money page prints $2 for paper statements and $3 for check images. Footnote 3 says both fees are waived if you go paperless, or if anyone on the account is 65 or older. This is BMO in the United States, not BMO Canada. |
Where the schedule does not print a monthly paper price
Chase's personal Additional Banking Services and Fees document does not list a paper statement fee. That is not the same sentence as paper is free. The schedule simply does not print a dollar for it.
Bank of America's personal schedule prints statement copy, check copy, and check image service at no fee, and it says there is no fee to go paperless. It does not print a monthly price for mailing the regular statement.
Wells Fargo's consumer schedule effective 28 July 2026 does not print a monthly paper mailing dollar. The online statement FAQ says there is no charge to receive statements online, and online only means the paper copy stops. The check image service on that schedule is no fee.
Questions
- Does every PNC checking account pay $2 for paper?
- No. The 22 February 2026 consumer schedule prints $2.00 for Simple Checking paper, $3.00 for Standard Checking paper unless a monthly service charge waiver applies, and no charge for paper only on the other accounts. Dual delivery is $3.00 on accounts other than Performance Select and Simple Checking.
- Is Chase paper free because the fee schedule is quiet?
- The personal fee schedule does not print a paper statement dollar. This page does not turn that silence into $0.
- Is TD Bank's $3 the same as TD Canada Trust's $2?
- No. TD Bank, N.A. prints $3.00 a cycle in the US schedule dated 07/26. TD Canada Trust prints $2.00 a month in the Canadian list effective 5 March 2026, on [paper statement fees at Canadian banks](/guides/canada-paper-statement-fees-by-bank).
