The $0 monthly fee and the $9 debit cap
Opened 21 October 2026. The account is on the Envision Financial Tru Essentials chequing page. The page title is Envision Financial. The account text says Tru Cooperative Bank. The monthly fee is $0. There is no minimum balance and no interest. The first 12 debit transactions are free. The next 6, transactions 13 through 18, are $1.50 each. After the 18th debit, the rest of the month is free. The most those debit fees can be is $9 in a month.
A debit on this page includes a purchase at a store, an outgoing Interac e-Transfer and a fulfil request, an in-branch withdrawal, an EXCHANGE or ACCULINK ATM withdrawal, a bill payment, a cheque that clears, and a pre-authorized debit. A transfer between Tru Cooperative Bank accounts in online or mobile banking is free. A BIGChange deposit is free and does not count. The purchase does count. Collabria and CUMIS pre-authorized debits and bill payments made in online or mobile banking are free and are not in the count. An ATM outside EXCHANGE and ACCULINK may add a fee. This page does not copy a dollar for that ATM, because the chequing page points at a separate personal service fee list.
Members under 19 get unlimited debits at no fee until 1 January of the year the primary account holder turns 20. People who receive the Guaranteed Income Supplement, and RDSP beneficiaries, can ask for a fee waiver. The page says to contact the credit union for that waiver. It does not print an extra dollar. The phone on this page is 1-888-597-6083, Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, Saturday 8:30am to 4pm, Sunday 11am to 3pm. Valley First uses 1-888-597-8083. Island Savings uses 1-888-597-1083. The page also says there are 4,800 surcharge-free EXCHANGE ATMs.
The line on your own statement is the one that counts. Upload it on the upload page. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not call the institution.

Same math, different brand page
