How to download your Wise statement

A Wise statement is a download from your Wise account, not a PDF your bank creates. Wise's own help article, opened 17 October 2026, prints the menus, the 365 day limit, and the file types. It does not print a fee for the download, and this guide does not invent one.

Where the button is

Wise's article on downloading a statement says you can create a statement for your currencies and jars. You can cover up to 365 days at a time. A longer history needs more than one download. The file includes hidden activities. It includes only transactions on your Wise currency accounts. Payments you made with an external payment method, such as a card held outside Wise, are not in that currency statement. Those sit on a separate transfer list that you open from the Transactions page.

From a currency or a jar, open the three dots and choose Statements and reports, or Statement of fees. Wise asks for your Wise password. From the home screen, tap or click your initials, then Statements and reports, then Statements. To create one, pick the currencies or jars, the period, the format, and the language. The custom tab is where you set a range. Download the file and keep the password step in mind if someone else uses the computer. Expenvo never asks for that Wise password. You download the file yourself, then you can open it locally.

A stamp and signature on a statement needs address verification, according to the same article. If the button for a stamped file is missing, finish verification in Wise rather than expecting the PDF menu to skip that step. This guide does not print a processing time, because the article does not print one.

File types and what is left out

On the web, Wise lists PDF, XLSX, CSV, MT940, QIF, and CAMT.053 version 10 only. In the app, the formats are PDF, CSV, and XLSX. The accounting exports are MT940, CAMT.053, and QIF. If you tick the box to show fees separately, the fee is its own line instead of being folded into the amount. Multiple currencies can download as a zip file or as a link sent by email. A bookkeeper who asks for MT940 needs the web download, not only the phone app's PDF.

The 365 day cap matters at tax time. A calendar year fits in one file. A period that starts in one year and ends in the next may not. Run two downloads and do not expect Wise to merge them. Hidden activities are included, so a balance that looked quiet in the app can still show movements in the file. External card payments stay on the Transactions list. If you are matching a charge on a bank statement, that bank PDF is the other half. Wise will not reprint your bank's descriptor.

Wise is not a monthly chequing package at a Canadian or US bank, so this page does not quote an account fee. Transfer prices depend on the corridor and the amount, and they are shown in the Wise flow before you send. Do not copy a fee from a review site onto this statement. If a Wise transfer also appears on a bank or card statement, match the date and the amount. A card charge you do not recognize is on unknown charge on a statement. Wire fees at banks, which are a different product, are on wire transfer fees.

After you have the file

Open the PDF or the spreadsheet and check the currency of each jar. A balance in euros and a balance in dollars are not one number. Fees shown separately are still your cost. They are not a second transfer. If you need the file for a landlord or a tax office, use the format they named. PDF is the one most people can open without accounting software.

You can upload a bank or card PDF on Expenvo. A Wise spreadsheet is not the same as a bank statement PDF. If your question is a charge on the bank account that funded Wise, download the bank statement as well. Those bank steps are grouped on how to download your bank statement. The Wise file explains the Wise side only.

The PDF stays on your device if you use Expenvo for a bank statement. Expenvo does not sign in to Wise, and it does not move the money. A repeating transfer you meant to stop is still canceled in Wise, not in the statement reader. The checklist is on how to cancel a subscription.
