Paper statement fees at Canadian banks
A paper statement fee is the charge for the statement the bank mails. It is not a copy of an old month, and it is not a subscription. This page is the dollar each bank printed on 20 October 2026. What the fee is, without a table, is on [paper statement fees](/guides/paper-statement-fees).

The monthly mailing fee
Opened 20 October 2026. Paperless or eStatement is free on every page below. A cheque image bundled with the paper, or sold on its own, is on cheque image fees. Asking for a statement before the cycle ends is on interim statement fees. The line on your own statement is the one that counts. Upload it on the upload page. The PDF stays on your device. Do not copy one account onto another
Scotiabank Basic Banking prints paper at no charge. Basic Plus prints $2.25. Those are different accounts on the same page. RBC's $3.00 is the fee, and the same cell lists the accounts it does not apply to. A senior rebate on one plan is not a rebate on every plan.
Ordering a month the screen no longer shows is a copy, on statement copy and research fees. The monthly mailing fee keeps coming whether or not you order a copy.
Questions
- Is TD's paper statement fee $2 on every account?
- No. The 5 March 2026 list prints $2.00 a month, and no service fee on Minimum Chequing, All-Inclusive, Student Chequing, and TD Wealth Private Banking. High Interest Savings is also waived at a $25,000 daily closing balance on every business day of the month.
- Does RBC still print $2.25 for paper?
- The Personal Deposit Accounts booklet dated 3 August 2026 prints $3.00 without cheque images and $3.50 with cheque images. Use that booklet, not an older table.
- Is a paper statement fee a subscription?
- No. It is a bank fee for mailing the statement. Keep it with the other bank fees.
