Teller and branch transaction fees at US banks
A teller fee is a charge for a deposit or a withdrawal with a person at a branch, sometimes counted together with paper checks. Many personal checking schedules do not print that fee. Some business accounts do, after a free count. A cash withdrawal at another bank's teller is a different charge. Figures can change.

Personal accounts that do not print a teller visit fee
Opened 19 October 2026. Chase's personal additional banking services and fees, copyright 2026, prints fees for non Chase ATMs, wires, counter checks, and other services. It does not print a fee for using a Chase teller. Do not invent one. A counter check printed at the branch is a different line, on counter check fees.
Bank of America's personal schedule of fees, effective August 7, 2026, also does not print a fee for using a Bank of America teller. It does print a Non Bank of America Teller Withdrawal Fee. That fee applies when you authorize another financial institution to use your card or card number and that institution processes the transaction as a cash disbursement. The amount is the greater of $5.00 or 3% of the dollar amount, up to a maximum of $10.00. Clients in BofA Rewards at the Premier tier qualify for a waiver of that fee. It is not the price of walking into a Bank of America branch. U.S. Bank's consumer pricing information, effective August 10, 2026, prints a counter check fee and does not print a consumer teller visit fee in the miscellaneous section read for this page. Everyday monthly fees are on monthly checking account fees by bank.
Business accounts that print a count
Chase's business additional banking services and fees prints a transaction block for Chase Business Complete Checking. Electronic deposits and deposited items, ACH and ATM transactions, Chase QuickDeposit, debit card purchases, and internal transfers are no charge. Deposits and withdrawals made with a banker, and paper checks written on the account, are no charge for 0 to 20, then $0.50 each. Those fees are included in the monthly service fee if that fee applies. An older business fee document marked effective 15 December 2024 printed $0.40 after 20 on that same style of line. Use the PDF in your account if the two disagree. This page uses the chase.com business PDF opened on 19 October 2026 for the $0.50.
On that same current PDF, Chase Performance Business Checking prints no charge for electronic deposits and deposited items made via ATM, ACH, wire, and QuickDeposit. Deposits and deposited items made with a banker, and all debits, are no charge for 0 to 250, then $0.50 each, across linked Performance accounts. That row is wider than teller visits, because it says all debits. Do not treat the Complete Checking 20 count as the Performance count. Chase Platinum Business Checking on that PDF prints no charge through 500 of the banker deposits and all debits line, then $0.50. Match the account name.

| U.S. Bank Business Essentials | Deposits and withdrawals with a banker or teller, and paper checks | 25 per statement cycle included, then $0.50 each |
| Bank of America personal schedule | No fee for a Bank of America teller is printed | A non Bank of America teller cash disbursement is the greater of $5.00 or 3%, up to $10.00 |
U.S. Bank Business Essentials, and what to ask
U.S. Bank's Business Essentials pricing, effective May 11, 2026, prints $0 for electronic deposits, electronic withdrawals, ATM transactions, payment processing credits and chargebacks, electronic transfers, ACH, and debit card purchases. Deposits and withdrawals made with a banker or teller at a branch, and paper checks written on the account, include 25 per statement cycle, then $0.50 each. The public business checking page repeats that teller definition and the $0.50. Silver, Gold, and Platinum business packages on the separate business pricing PDF use a wider transaction count that includes ACH and debit card purchases. Those are not the Business Essentials teller line. Do not copy their free counts onto a personal account.
If the statement shows a transaction fee, write the account name, the count, and the per item amount. Ask whether the item was a teller deposit, a paper check, or an electronic debit. A personal account and a business account at the same bank can use different schedules. How to ask your bank to refund a fee is the wording. They can say no. US bank fees is the wider page.
Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not sign in to the bank or the card company, and it does not cancel a card or a purchase.
