How to ask about an RBC WestJet World Elite Mastercard annual fee
WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard is not the lower WestJet RBC Mastercard, and it is not RBC Avion. The card page and the annual fee comparison table both print $139 for the primary card and $59 for an additional card. RBC says some banking packages can rebate an eligible card. That sentence does not name this card. Asking RBC to remove a fee already charged is a request.

The $139 and the $59
Opened 19 October 2026. The WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard page prints an annual fee of $139 and an additional card fee of $59. The purchase rate is 20.99%. The cash advance rate is printed as 22.99% with an asterisk. This page does not guess what the asterisk changes. The same card page says the card requires a minimum personal income of $80,000 or a minimum household income of $150,000. The annual fee comparison table prints the same $139 and $59, and the same income line. It prints the WestJet RBC Mastercard, without World Elite, at $39 for the primary card and $19 for an additional card. Match the name on the statement. Do not use $39 for World Elite.
A question on the World Elite page asks whether the additional cardholder annual fee is increasing as well. RBC's answer is no, it remains $59. That answer does not print an old primary fee, so this page does not invent one. The comparison page says an annual fee is generally billed on the first billing cycle after you receive and activate the card, then each year on the account anniversary. How to ask about an RBC Avion fee is a different card. Canadian credit card fees keeps the annual fee apart from interest.
A voucher and a package rebate are not the same thing
The World Elite page describes a companion voucher and a $5,000 minimum annual spend for a later voucher. That spend rule is about a travel voucher. It is not a published waiver of the $139. Points offers, including the public welcome points line, are not a credit against the annual fee unless the statement shows a credit.
The comparison page says that in some cases students, seniors, and clients with more than one RBC product can be eligible for an annual fee rebate. It names a student rebate for the RBC ION+ Visa, and it says RBC VIP Banking and Signature No Limit Banking account holders may qualify for an annual fee rebate of an eligible card. It does not print WestJet World Elite in that sentence. Ask RBC whether this card is eligible on your package. Do not assume the $139 comes off because you have a chequing account. The monthly cost of the bank account is how to waive an RBC monthly fee.
What to ask
Use the phone number on the statement if it is printed there. Have the date, the fee name, and the amount. Ask whether it is the $139 primary fee or the $59 additional card fee. Ask whether VIP Banking or Signature No Limit includes a rebate on this card. Then ask RBC to review the fee or remove it. They can say no. This page has no success rate. If the answer is no, ask about a product change and the last day to close before the next annual fee. This page does not tell you to close the card. Closing can also affect WestJet points and a voucher. Ask that separately. How to ask about a card annual fee is the general page. The PDF steps are on how to download an RBC statement.
Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not sign in to the bank or the card company, and it does not cancel a card or a purchase.
Questions
- Is the $39 WestJet card the World Elite card?
- No. RBC's comparison table prints $39 and $19 for the WestJet RBC Mastercard, and $139 and $59 for the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard. Use the name on the statement.
- Did the additional card fee go up?
- The World Elite page says the additional cardholder annual fee remains $59. It does not print a previous primary fee. If your statement shows a different additional card amount, ask RBC which one applies.
- Does VIP Banking automatically remove the $139?
- The comparison page says VIP Banking and Signature No Limit may qualify for a rebate on an eligible card. It does not name WestJet World Elite in that sentence. Ask RBC before you treat the fee as covered.
- Will RBC remove an annual fee it already charged if I ask?
- They might, and they might not. Asking is a request. Nothing on this page says RBC has to waive a fee already on the statement.
