What a Strava, Fitbit, Whoop, Oura, or Apple Fitness+ charge means

A fitness app charge is the membership, not a gym dues line and not a bank fee. Strava, Google Health Premium (the plan Google says used to be Fitbit Premium), WHOOP, Oura, MyFitnessPal, and Apple Fitness+ each print their own price. A gym such as Planet Fitness or GoodLife is a different page. The figures below are the ones on the pages opened 19 October 2026.

Strava and Apple Fitness+

Strava's pricing page, updated 1 July 2025, says US subscribers pay $11.99 a month or $79.99 a year, plus tax. A Family Plan is $139.99 a year plus tax. Strava plus Runna is $149.99 a year plus tax. Strava says it emails subscribers 30 days before renewal when a country price changes. The cancel article, written 10 September 2026, says the plan renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Canceling after a renewal does not start a refund by itself.

Cancel on the same platform you used to subscribe. On the website: profile picture, Settings, My Account, Cancel Subscription. On Android or iPhone: You tab, gear, Your Strava Subscription, Manage Your Subscription. Apple and Google then use their own subscription screens. Strava says a website purchase can be fully refunded within 14 days if you contact support. After 14 days, Strava says the subscription is non-refundable. Google and Apple refunds are theirs. Strava says those requests are often within 48 hours and that Strava cannot refund an Apple purchase. You keep subscription features until the end of the term. Activities you uploaded stay.

Apple's Fitness+ page says new subscribers get 1 month free, then $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year. The plan renews until you cancel. A separate offer is 3 months free with an eligible device. Apple One is the bundle. The footnote prints $21.95, $27.95, or $39.95 a month after trial, depending on the Apple One plan. Those three numbers are the bundle, not Fitness+ by itself. Family Sharing can include up to five other people. Cancel the Apple subscription in the Apple ID subscription list if you subscribed with Apple. The general steps are on how to cancel a subscription.

Google Health Premium, WHOOP, and Oura

Google's blog of 7 May 2026 says Fitbit Premium is now Google Health Premium, and that Premium plans start at $9.99 a month or $99 a year. The Google Store page says From $9.99. Its trial footnote says the offer renews at $9.99 a month after the trial, and that you can cancel anytime. The offer end date on that footnote is 26 May 2027. Every Fitbit Air includes 3 months of Google Health Premium, and the device itself is $99, or $129 for the Stephen Curry edition. Google Health Premium is included at no extra cost on Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra. A Fitbit or Pixel Watch is required for that access.

Google's help page says the coach and Premium coaching features are for people 18 or older with a Fitbit or Pixel Watch, in a listed set of countries that includes the United States and Canada. To subscribe in the app: profile picture, Get Google Health Premium or Try 3 months of Google Health Coach. A Google Store purchase activates on its own if you use the same Google account. To cancel an App Store or Play Store purchase: profile, Google Health Settings, Google Health Premium, Membership benefits, Cancel membership. A store purchase is canceled at store.google.com/subscriptions. A PayPal purchase is canceled in PayPal if it does not show in the store.

WHOOP's US membership page lists plans available at $199 a year, $239 a year, and $359 a year, in the same order as the One, Peak, and Life device descriptions. The FAQ says One includes a WHOOP 5.0, a basic charger, and a Jet Black CoreKnit band, and it calls One the most accessible price. Peak includes a WHOOP 5.0, a wireless PowerPack, and an Onyx SuperKnit band. Life includes a WHOOP MG, a wireless PowerPack, and a Titanium SuperKnit Luxe band. WHOOP says you can cancel and return the device for a full refund minus shipping within 30 days of receipt. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the billing cycle. Oura's membership page says the membership is $5.99 USD a month and that new members get the first month free. The cancel answers on that page did not expand, so this guide does not invent Oura's cancel clicks.

MyFitnessPal

MyFitnessPal's pricing article, published 9 April 2025, lists three choices. Free has basic food and fitness tracking. Premium is $79.99 a year or $19.99 a month. Premium+ is $99.99 a year or $24.99 a month. Those Premium and Premium+ dollars are the US prices in the article. The Premium+ country table on the same page lists Canada at 144.99 CAD a year or 36.99 CAD a month. The article says Premium+ is in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Ireland. A free trial, if one is offered, varies. The article does not print one trial length for every account.

The plan renews unless you cancel before the end of the current period. You keep Premium features until that period ends. Cancel on the platform you used to pay. The article says a website signup is canceled in Settings. An App Store or Google Play signup is canceled with Apple or Google. MyFitnessPal says it cannot treat a store purchase as a charge it can refund itself. Payment can be Google Play, Apple's App Store, or the website through Stripe.

A gym membership is a different charge. Planet Fitness, Peloton, and the big club chains are on what a Planet Fitness charge means, what a Peloton charge means, and what a GoodLife, LA Fitness, or Anytime Fitness charge means. Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not sign in to the bank or the company, and it does not cancel a plan. How to read a statement PDF shows the date and the amount to match to the app receipt.
