What a Coursera, Udemy, or Skillshare charge means

An online course charge is the class or the membership on the card you saved. Coursera, Udemy, and Skillshare each publish their own billing rules. Chegg is a different company. MasterClass's home page did not print a membership dollar on 19 October 2026, and a refund help address returned an error, so this guide does not invent a MasterClass price or a click path.

Coursera

Coursera's Plus page lists individual courses and programs at $49 to $79 a month. That is a range for those offers, not one course. Coursera Plus is $59 a month, and the page says you can cancel anytime. A monthly Plus plan has a 7 day free trial. Coursera says it stores the payment method and does not charge until the trial ends. Cancel during the trial and there is no charge.

An annual Plus payment has 14 days to request a refund. The page says to open My Purchases within 14 days and submit the request. Certificates earned in those 14 days are revoked if you get the refund. The longer refund article did not load its steps, so this guide uses the Plus page for the annual window and does not add click names the Plus page did not print. Existing Specialization subscriptions do not cancel themselves when you start Plus. Cancel those separately or you can be billed for both.

Coursera Plus includes a large catalog and excludes degrees and MasterTrack programs. Look for the Plus badge on a course if you need to know whether Plus covers it. A charge after the trial is the plan you selected. Match the date and the amount to My Purchases. Chegg's study subscription is a different bill, on what a Chegg charge means.

Udemy

Udemy's refund section says subscription plans bought on Udemy.com do not include the 30 day satisfaction guarantee. It says no refunds or partial refunds are available unless the law requires one. A free trial can be canceled before you are charged. The 30 day window on that section is for an individual course purchase, and Udemy says it will not process a course refund request that arrives after that window. This guide does not print a Personal Plan dollar, because the pages that loaded did not print one.

If a local law requires a subscription refund, Udemy says the refund period starts on the day you check out, including the first day of a free trial. Its example says a 7 day trial uses up a 7 day legal refund period, so a request after the trial can be too late in a country with a 7 day period. Requesting a refund where one is required also cancels the plan. Access then ends at the end of the billing period.

Payments through the iOS app or the Android app are processed by Apple or Google Play. Udemy says it cannot refund those purchases. Cancel and request a refund with the store. On Udemy.com, the manage article says you cancel by clicking Cancel subscription, and that you keep access until the date posted on the Subscriptions page. A free trial is canceled with Cancel trial on that page. The general store steps are on how to cancel a subscription.

Skillshare

Skillshare's cancel article says a subscription started on skillshare.com is canceled in Account settings. On a computer: Account settings, Membership & Payments, Cancel membership, then confirm. On a phone browser: profile icon, Account settings, Membership & Payments, Cancel membership. Access lasts until the end of the billing period. You can keep watching classes until then. After that, class access and teacher downloads stop. A plan started in the iOS App Store or Google Play is canceled in that store. Deleting the app does not cancel it. Skillshare says it cannot cancel a store subscription for you.

The refund article says a 7 day trial charge can be refunded once if you contact support within 48 hours and you have not used Skillshare since the charge. Charges after a trial of 14 days or longer are not eligible. Renewal charges are not refunded. Annual plans get a reminder email about 30 days before renewal. Canceling stops the next bill and does not by itself refund money already paid. A SEPA direct debit payment can be refunded within 8 weeks of the initial payment. Teams plans follow the organization's agreement. The articles do not print a membership dollar, so this guide does not invent one.

The MasterClass home page opened the same day did not print a price. Do not copy a price from a review or an ad onto this page. Match the statement amount to the receipt in the account that billed you. Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not sign in to the bank or the company, and it does not cancel a plan. How to read a statement PDF keeps a course renewal apart from a one time class.
