What an Affirm charge means on your statement

Affirm's public help articles returned a loading page with no article text on 17 October 2026, so they are not the source here. The document that did open is the Affirm Card agreement. It covers that card account. It is not a substitute for a Pay in 4 loan agreement you did not open.

What this page can and cannot say

Opened 17 October 2026. The Affirm help center articles for a general statement charge did not include the article body. This guide does not invent a statement descriptor, an APR, or a late fee from those pages. If the line is a loan on a different card, use the loan screen in the Affirm app and the agreement for that loan.

The Affirm Debit Visa agreement issued by Evolve Bank and Trust that opened is for that card account. A separate Stride Bank version exists. If your app names a different bank, use the agreement in the app. It says Affirm makes a periodic statement available in the app for card activity and a summary of current installment loans. If there is no transfer in a month, Affirm may skip that month and still provide a statement at least quarterly. The name on a bank statement usually includes Affirm. Confirm the date and the amount in the app.

A charge that does not match a purchase

The agreement says merchant signals, including the category code and the merchant id, are used to tie a card transaction to a loan. A signal can miss. If a purchase is tied to the wrong loan, call (855) 423-3729 between 7 am and 10 pm Central time, 7 days a week, or use affirm.com/help/debit.

For errors or questions about electronic transfers, the agreement says to use that same help page, call (855) 423-3729, or write Affirm, Inc., 14039 Puritas Avenue, P.O. Box 35909, Cleveland, OH 44135. They must hear from you no later than 60 days after the first statement that showed the problem. Tell them your name and account number, describe the error and why you believe it is an error, and tell them the dollar amount.

What happens after you report it

If you report it by phone, they may require the complaint in writing within 10 business days. They determine whether an error occurred within 10 business days, or they may take up to 45 days. If they take longer, they credit the account within 10 business days for the amount you think is wrong. If they asked for writing and do not receive it within 10 business days, they may not credit the account. New card accounts, point of sale, and foreign transactions can take up to 90 days to investigate. They tell you the result within 3 business days after the investigation. If they decide there was no error, they send a written explanation.

To stop one recurring charge on the card, the agreement says to request it at affirm.com/help/debit, call, or write, in time for Affirm to receive it at least 3 business days before the transfer. Also contact the merchant. To cancel the card itself, call (855) 423-3729. Neither the bank nor Affirm charges an ATM fee. The ATM owner may. Upload the statement on Expenvo. The PDF stays on your device. Steps for stopping the next charge are on how to cancel a subscription you found on a statement.

Questions

Does this page cover every Affirm loan?
No. The help articles did not return their text on 17 October 2026. The agreement quoted here is the Affirm Card agreement. A Pay in 4 loan on another card follows that loan's own terms.
How long do I have to report an Affirm Card error?
The agreement says no later than 60 days after the first statement that showed the problem. Include your name, account number, what is wrong, and the dollar amount.
How do I stop a repeating charge on the Affirm Card?
Ask at least 3 business days before the transfer, at affirm.com/help/debit, by phone at (855) 423-3729, or by mail. Also tell the merchant to stop billing the card.
