The $45 fee
Opened 21 October 2026. The figures are from the Conexus additional services and fees PDF, as of 14 September 2026. NSF items are $45.00. Overdraft items are $5.00 per item plus a 21% annual interest rate. The PDF says all prices are plus GST.
The fees apply to personal accounts in Canadian dollars. US dollar accounts are charged in US dollars. Sending an Interac e-Transfer is a different row, $1.50, with 30 free a month for No-Fee, Heritage, and Youth accounts. The PDF does not print a daily NSF cap, so this guide does not add one.

How to avoid it
The $45 line is the NSF item. The $5 line is a separate overdraft item, and the interest rate on that row is 21% a year. Covering the payment before it is returned avoids the $45. An overdraft item can still cost $5 plus interest even when the NSF fee does not post.
Conexus is a provincial credit union in Saskatchewan. The federal $10 personal NSF cap does not set this dollar. The schedule's own note is that the printed prices are plus GST, so the amount on the statement can be higher than $45.00 before tax is added.
