Does Expenvo sign in to the bank and download the PDF for me?

No. You download the PDF from the bank or card site. Expenvo reads that file on your device. It does not ask for the bank password.

Can I upload a photo of the statement instead?

A photo is harder to read. Use the PDF the bank creates, with text you can select. If the file asks for a password, download a copy that does not. Expenvo cannot open a locked PDF.

How to download a PNC statement PDF

PNC's online statements page says you can view, save, and print a PDF. You do that in your own login. Expenvo does not sign in to PNC, and the file stays on your device.

Online banking

These steps are from PNC's online statements page.

Sign on to Online Banking. Select Accounts. Find the account and select it. Select Account Quick View, then Statements and Documents, then View PDF.

PNC's online and mobile help prints a second path: sign on, select the Profile and Settings icon, then Alerts and Communication, then Statements and Documents, then View PDF. Use the path whose labels match your screen.

The app, and how long they stay

In the PNC Mobile app, the statements page says: from the bottom navigation bar, select More, then Statements and Documents. Choose Online statements, Account documents, or Other documents. Select an account, then a year. The page does not name a further button after the year, so this guide does not invent one. The same page says you can view, save, and print a PDF.

A footnote on that page says online statements are available up to 7 years for checking and savings, auto loans, and unsecured installment loans. Credit cards are up to 4 years. Mortgage and home equity loans are up to 5 years. Investment accounts are up to 10 years. A fee may be charged if a paper statement is requested in addition to the online statement. History may be missing for a closed account. A US dollar statement stays in USD. After you upload the PDF, Expenvo lists the charges, the bank fees, and the subscriptions on your device.
