Desjardins cash advance fee
A Desjardins credit card cash advance starts interest immediately. Purchases have at least 21 interest free days. Rates and the missing dollar fee
Opened 20 October 2026. Interest is charged as soon as you take the cash advance. Purchases have a minimum interest free grace period of 21 days. You do not earn BONUSDOLLARS rewards or cash back on a cash advance. The page does not print a fee of a few dollars on top of that interest. Do not add one from another issuer.
The cash advance rate applies no matter how you get the cash. Flexi Visa and Odyssey Visa Infinite Privilege print 12.9%. The US Visa prints 19.4%. Cash Back Visa, Cash Back Mastercard, Bonus Visa, Cash Back World Elite Mastercard, Odyssey Gold Visa, and Odyssey World Elite Mastercard print 21.9%. A footnote says that if you do not make the minimum payment by the due date, the annual interest rates on regular purchases and other regular transactions increase to 19.90%.
Daily limits and foreign currency
The daily maximum is up to $5,000 for Flexi Visa, Bonus Visa, Odyssey Gold Visa, Odyssey World Elite Mastercard, Cash Back World Elite Mastercard, and Odyssey Visa Infinite Privilege. It is up to $2,500 for Cash Back Visa and Cash Back Mastercard, and up to $2,500 for the US Visa. The page says the maximum depends on your credit limit, and that interest starts on the transaction date. The feature is on by default if you make minimum payments on time and have credit available. You can ask Desjardins to turn it off.
A cash advance in a foreign currency adds a conversion fee of 2.5% to the daily exchange rate. That 2.5% is the conversion fee, not a flat cash advance charge. National Bank's version of this gap is on National Bank cash advance fee. The big bank wording is on cash advance fees and interest.
You can take a cash advance at an ATM on Visa, Mastercard, Cirrus, Interac, or PLUS, or by transferring from the card to an everyday account on AccèsD. Payments are applied in a set order, so other transactions may have to be paid before the cash advance is. The page tells you to pay the balance every month, and at least the minimum if you cannot.
