Monthly fee by account

Opened 26 October 2026. The monthly dollars are on the compare checking page. SouthState Checking is $5, waived with eStatements. Choice Checking is $8. The same page prints three ways off that $8: 15 or more posted and cleared debit card purchases or payments, or $250 or more in combined direct deposits, or a $1,500 or more average daily balance. Gold Checking is $15. A footnote says that $15 is waived with a $5,000 minimum daily balance in the account, or $25,000 in other SouthState deposits and outstanding loans in the same relationship. Community Hero Checking is $0. Direct Checking is $5. Each account lists a $25 minimum to open, or no opening deposit when you open online.

The Direct Checking page says eStatements are free and a paper statement is $2 a month if you are not enrolled in eStatements on the last day of the cycle. The reading guide is US bank fee guides. The line on your own statement is the one that counts. Upload it on the upload page. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not call the institution.

The daily cap and the $10 small-overdraft rule are on SouthState overdraft fee.

A stop payment is $36.00 in a branch or through the call center, and $26.00 online, by phone banking, or in Zelle. A cashier's check for a customer is $10.00. A non-SouthState ATM is $3.00. Closing the account within 90 days is $25.00.

Wires on that schedule: incoming $15.00, domestic outgoing $30.00, international outgoing $50.00, domestic online outgoing $25.00, and international online outgoing $40.00. The monthly list is US monthly checking fees by bank. A yearly total from numbers you type is on the bank fee calculator. It does not look up this institution.
