Monthly fee by account
Opened 27 October 2026. Amounts below are US dollars. The account information schedule prints Everything Checking at $5.00 a month unless, in the previous calendar month, six payments posted or the average monthly collected balance was $2,500. Those payments can be a check, an online or telephone bill payment, an ACH debit, or a point of sale purchase. The minimum to open is $50. An electronic statement is free. A statement with imaged checks is $3.00 a month, and the $2,500 average also waives that statement fee. The schedule says there is no charge for banking card use on Everything Checking. Another bank can still add its own ATM surcharge.
Free Checking has no monthly service fee and no minimum balance. The minimum to open is $25. Electronic statements are required. If you do not keep electronic statements, the schedule says the account is converted to No Minimum Checking. A non-Dollar Bank ATM activity fee on Free Checking is $2.50, charged on the 1st for the previous month, unless a linked savings balance waives it. The schedule tells you to read the savings schedules for that balance. It does not print the savings dollar on the Free Checking section.
No Minimum Checking is $3.00 on the 1st of each month. The minimum to open is $50. Electronic statements and statements with imaged checks are both free. The same $2.50 non-Dollar Bank ATM fee applies unless the savings balance waives it. No Overdraft Checking is $5.00 on the 1st, and the schedule says that fee can be reduced to $2.00 with a qualifying checking relationship. It says to ask a branch for the current list. It does not print that list. Start Smart Checking has no monthly service fee. A paper statement is $2.00. One signer must be age 13 to 17, with a parent or guardian over 18 as co-owner. Independence Checking has no monthly service fee and no minimum balance. A paper statement is $2.00. One signer must be age 18 to 24. The reading guide is US bank fee guides. The line on your own statement is the one that counts. Upload it on the upload page. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not call the institution.

Overdraft, ATM, and wires
The other account fees page prints an overdraft fee of $36.00 when the available balance cannot cover an item of $5.00 or greater and the bank pays it. The fee is limited to four charges a day. A continuous overdraft fee is $25.00 on the 7th consecutive day the account stays negative, on top of any overdraft fees. Independence Checking is different: the schedule prints $12.00 for each overdraft fee on that account, still limited to four a day, and still only for an item of $5.00 or greater that is paid. No Overdraft Checking and Start Smart Checking say there are no bank overdraft fees. The other fees page says the overdraft fees listed there do not apply to No Overdraft Checking.
An international ATM or point of sale transaction is 3% of the amount, included in the transaction total. Free Checking, No Minimum Checking, and No Overdraft Checking print $2.50 for non-Dollar Bank ATM activity. Start Smart and Independence print no charge for that foreign ATM row. Dollar Bank, Allpoint, and Freedom ATM withdrawals are no charge on the accounts that list them. The schedule does not print a separate debit card foreign purchase percent beyond the 3% international ATM and point of sale row.
A domestic wire is $18.00 incoming, $18.00 recurring outgoing, and $18.00 non-recurring outgoing. A foreign wire is $20.00 incoming, $20.00 recurring outgoing, and $40.00 non-recurring outgoing. An inactive account is $10.00 a month. Dormant account safekeeping is $24.00 a year. Closing within 180 days of opening is $25.00. A stop payment is $39.00. The monthly list is US monthly checking fees by bank. ATM rows for other banks are on US ATM fees by bank. A yearly total from numbers you type is on the bank fee calculator. It does not look up this institution.
