The monthly account fee

Opened 25 October 2026. The figures are from the FAIRWINDS consumer service charge schedule, effective 30 January 2026. More bank fee pages are on US bank fees and overdraft fee guides.

Signature Checking is $25 a month. That fee is waived with a $25,000 average monthly combined deposit balance, or with an investment account balance of $25,000 or more. Preferred Checking is $10 a month and is no longer offered as of 12 November 2025. If you already have it, the waiver is $1,000 in total monthly direct deposits, a $10,000 average combined deposit balance, or an investment balance of $10,000 or more.

Emergency Savings and Freedom Savings are $5 a month. One way to waive that fee is an average monthly balance of at least $300 in the account, or a deposit or transfer of at least $25 in the month. Signature Checking owners also have the savings fee waived. Other monthly fees are on monthly checking account fees by bank.

A yearly total from numbers you type is on the bank fee calculator. It does not look up this institution.

A payment the account cannot cover

When a check, an automatic withdrawal, or a repeating debit card payment is presented and the available balance is not enough, the fee is $30 if FAIRWINDS pays it or sends it back. An ATM withdrawal or an everyday debit card purchase that FAIRWINDS pays in the same situation is also $30. The schedule caps the combined count of those fees at five in one day.

A separate line, for money that is in the account but still on hold, is $30 and is capped at five in one day on its own. A stop on a check, an automatic payment, or a bill payment is $30, and that stop fee is waived on Signature Checking and Preferred Checking. An ATM FAIRWINDS does not own is $2.50. Signature Checking refunds that ATM fee. How to ask about a fee that already posted is on how to ask about an overdraft fee. How several can land on one day is on multiple overdraft fees in one day.

The line on your own statement is the one that counts. Upload it on the upload page. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not call the institution.
