Oaken account fees
Oaken Financial's June 2025 fee schedule prints $2.00 a month for a paper statement and $20.00 when a cheque deposited into an Oaken account comes back unpaid. That returned deposit is not an NSF fee for a payment you sent. The wider list of returned deposits is returned deposit fees at Canadian banks. Oaken is a trademark of Home Bank, a subsidiary of Home Trust Company. Both are CDIC members.

What the June 2025 schedule prints
Opened 22 October 2026. The dollars are on Oaken's fee schedule, marked OAK_FEE_JUNE.2025. A monthly paper statement is $2.00. Retrieval of statements older than 14 months is $5.00 per month. A dishonoured cheque or deposit is $20.00 per cheque. The PDF prints that amount as $20,00, which is twenty dollars, and it describes a cheque or deposit that was deposited into an Oaken account and later returned. A dormant account, with no activity for two years or more, up to nine years, is $20.00 per year. The PDF prints that as $20,00 par année, and it says the charge is applied in April after the second year. A bank confirmation letter is $25.00. Electronic statements are no fee. An internal or external electronic funds transfer is no fee. Closing the account on request is no fee. The schedule does not print an NSF dollar for a payment you made. Do not call the $20.00 dishonoured deposit an NSF fee.
The opening an account help page says an RSP or TFSA savings account can be subject to an NSF or dormancy fee if applicable, and it does not print the NSF dollar. Use the June 2025 schedule for the dollars it actually lists. A fee already charged is a request. Oaken can say no.
The line on your own statement is the one that counts. Upload it on the upload page. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not call the institution.
