Bank of America wire fee is $30

By Karla CastroUpdated November 1, 2026

Bank of America's personal schedule of fees, page marked 08/2026, prints $30 for a domestic outgoing wire and $15 for a domestic incoming wire. An international outgoing wire in U.S. dollars is $45. An international outgoing wire in foreign currency has no wire fee, and exchange rate markups still apply.

The dollars on the schedule

Opened 1 November 2026. Domestic outgoing is $30. Domestic incoming is $15. International outgoing in U.S. dollars is $45. International outgoing in foreign currency has no wire fee, but exchange rate markups apply. International incoming is $15. The schedule says other fees can still apply, including a fee from the recipient's bank and foreign taxes. Markups on the currency conversion are in addition to the wire fee.

The fee can show as its own line next to the amount you sent. Incoming wires received in a foreign currency are converted to U.S. dollars at a rate Bank of America sets.

Ways to pay less

The schedule says you may be able to send money to someone in the U.S. without a fee, or for a lower fee, including with Zelle, depending on the service. Premier tier clients enrolled in BofA Rewards qualify for a waiver of the outgoing domestic wire fee. Preferred Plus, Preferred Honors, and Premier waive the international incoming wire fee. Those same tiers, plus some Advantage checking accounts, waive the domestic incoming wire fee. A waiver of the incoming fee is not a waiver of the $30 you pay to send.
