CIBC outgoing wire is C$30 to C$80

CIBC's sending and receiving wires page prints C$30 for an outgoing wire of C$10,000 or less, C$50 from C$10,000.01 to C$50,000, and C$80 above C$50,000. An incoming wire is C$15, and the page says that becomes C$17 on January 16, 2027.
Outgoing by amount
Opened 1 November 2026. Outgoing wire payments are C$30 per wire when the amount is C$10,000 or less, C$50 from C$10,000.01 to C$50,000, and C$80 when it is greater than C$50,000. The page does not print a separate price for a wire inside Canada and a wire abroad. Outgoing fees are charged in Canadian currency. A foreign currency account is charged the equivalent in that account's currency, using a CIBC exchange rate. Incoming wires are C$15 per payment, deducted from the amount before it is deposited. Effective January 16, 2027, that incoming fee is C$17. For Canadian and U.S. currency incoming wires, the fee is in the same currency as the payment.
The outgoing fee can post as its own line. An intermediary or the receiving bank can also deduct a charge from the amount, which the page says may happen on an outgoing wire.
A C$0 send that is not this wire
If you are sending less than C$30,000 internationally, the page points to CIBC Global Money Transfer in online or mobile banking and prints a C$0 transfer fee. It says foreign exchange rates apply and that account transaction fees may apply. That is not the C$30, C$50, or C$80 wire. The page also points to Interac e-Transfer as a different way to move money. A wire is still sent at a CIBC banking centre once you have the recipient's details.
