Monthly fee by account

Opened 25 October 2026. The dollars are from the Essential, Advantage, and Elite account service fee guides, and from the account and service fees page. Each guide says its information is accurate as of August 2026. Essential opens with $25 and charges $5 a month. The refund path is age 18 to 24, subject to the age of majority in your state. The fee page says that refund posts within three business days. Advantage opens with $50 and charges $10, waived with at least $500 in direct deposits or a $1,500 average daily balance in that account during the statement cycle. Elite opens with $50 and charges $20, waived with a $5,000 average daily balance in Elite or a $25,000 combined average daily balance in consumer deposits such as checking, savings, money market, CDs, and IRAs.

A non First Horizon ATM is $0 on Essential and $3 on Advantage and Elite. The ATM owner can still add a surcharge. Elite refunds up to $15 of non First Horizon ATM and surcharge fees per statement cycle. QuickStatements are $0 on Essential and Elite. Advantage lists QuickStatements at $2 on the fee page footnote that says Advantage pays that fee. Paper statements are $2 on all three guides. eStatements are $0.

The line on your own statement is the one that counts. Upload it on the upload page. The PDF stays on your device. Expenvo lists the lines. It does not call the institution.

Overdraft, stop payment, and dormant

Essential prints an overdraft fee of $0 and says the bank typically does not pay overdrafts on that account. Advantage and Elite print $35 for an ATM or everyday debit card overdraft only if you opt in, and $35 for checks, ACH debits, and other transactions the bank pays. Each of those guides says there is no overdraft fee that day if the ending overdrawn balance is $5 or less. The returned NSF fee is $0 on all three. The Elite guide prints a maximum of 3 overdraft fees a day. The fee page says the same cap of three charges a day. This guide does not copy that cap onto Advantage from the Elite PDF.

A stop payment is $37 on all three guides, generally for six months. Elite waives five stop payment fees per calendar year. A charged back deposited item is $16. A legal action processing fee is $100, reduced to the balance if the account holds less than $100. That line is also on what a legal process fee is.

Advantage and Elite impose a $5 a month dormant fee on checking accounts with balances under $5,000 if there have been no deposits or withdrawals in one year. Essential prints $0 for that line. The fee page says dormant fees do not apply to Essential Checking, and that savings accounts are not assessed a dormant fee. How other US banks print this line is on inactivity and dormant account fees.

Wires, and a different FirstView dollar

Essential, Advantage, and Elite each print the same wire rows: domestic incoming $15 and outgoing $30, international incoming $15 and outgoing $55, and internal outgoing $10. The fee page prints the same four wire dollars. The FirstView fee guide, accurate as of May 2025, prints an outgoing domestic wire at $25, not $30. Match the account name on the statement before you use either file. FirstView is not one of the three monthly rows on the current fee page.

The fee page prints an international service assessment as $3% on authorized debit card transactions made outside the U.S. That is the text on the page. This guide does not rewrite it as a percent without the dollar sign. Monthly waiver steps are on how to waive a First Horizon monthly fee. The wider monthly list is US monthly checking fees by bank. The reading guide is US bank fee guides. A yearly total from numbers you type is on the bank fee calculator. It does not look up this institution.
